If you are doing a DCF the process is a little different than regular NVC processing. You will bring all of the support documents, medical results, etc along with you to the interview in Manila.

You should have received an email with the subject line "Interview scheduling instructions <case number>". In that email is a link to the Manila embassy instructions for DCF processing. You can find that page here. You should already have accomplished step 2 (print confirmation page from the DS-260). Carry on with steps 3, 4 and 5 to assemble your docs and bring those with you.

As I mentioned earlier, this page says CENOMAR is not required for married applicants. The page is wrong, bring a CENOMAR with you. And bring an NBI clearance that has all your names (ie maiden name) in the "AKA" field. Every name you have ever used from all of your documents must appear somewhere on your NBI clearance. You have been warned!

Thank you. I got approved on my visa interview. Already got my visa and now waiting For our flight going to US. Btw can I apply green card now even tho I am not in the US yet.?

Did you file directly with the embassy in Manilla? Going by your timeline and the fact that you're posting in the DCF forum, then I'm assuming that answer is yes. DCF filers do not deal with NVC, only with the local embassy. Documents normally submitted to the NVC are instead submitted in person at the interview for DCFers.

Even if you didn't file via DCF, NVC would not have scheduled your appointment without receiving and verifying all required docs.

Thank u so much for your quick reply. Yes I did DCF. So I guess I don't need to cancel my interview if that 's the case. Again thank you so much.

I just did it this week.... no fees are payable now, you or your spouse pay with a credit card or cash at the embassy when you do the interview.

Now that you have the case number and appointment, the immigrating person can go to St. Lukes for the medical at any time. No appointment is necessary, first come first served, two days needed. If you pre-register on the website it will save you some time filling out forms in line. Cost is around 19k PHP IIRC.

The Manila embassy website says a CENOMAR is only required for unmarried interviewees. However the website is wrong, make sure and bring a CENOMAR with you.

Hello, I am with same page with u guys. I just have a question did u send any documents ( step.4-5) to nvc via mail or email. Because I already have appointment for visa interview this coming October 2,2018 and I am done with medical but I didnot send any documents to the nvc  aside the ds-260.  Do I need to cancel my interview and send documents to nvc wait for the reply?

OP, the DCF process is different and you do not have any involvement with the NVC. Please visit the DCF sub-forum (link posted above by previous respondent) and follow the advice there.

Oh I'm sorry,   idk how to use this site and i thot i should post here coz it's about CR1 progress. Thank u for telling me tho.

  5. Goo day VJs, so we applied DCF for CR1 visa and got approved after a month together with the case number. So now we are trying to go to the next step but we dont know what to do, we dont know where to start. We don't have a lawyer, it's just me and my husband and I'm just following this blog (http://sentimentsofmoonlightbutterfly.blogspirit.com/archive/2016/05/20/our-cr1-visa-dcf-journey.html ) and some advises here in VJ and so far so good, but now can't move on to the next step. Btw, do we really need to have an agent or lawyer at this case?? Hope u help us. Thanks in advance.

I am not understanding that one.  They give him BB privilege but tell him he can only stay 5 months.

Us too. That is why we don't know what to do. But we r planning to apply ACR-I so he can stay here longer and doesn't need to exit the country.

  7. my husband and I got here in the Philippines last September 17, 2017. So he've been staying here for almost 4mos. When we arrived here in the Philippines we showed to the immigration our certified copy of marriage certificate. They kinda didnot accepted it coz they want to see the original certificate, but that time we don't have the original coz it was currently in the Travis  county clerk office. We got married last September 4,2017.  But the immigration stamped my husband's passport a one year visa, but immigration insisted that my husband needs to exit this coming February for "good record." That he could only stay here for 5months even tho they stamped his passport for one year.

  8. Hi VJ, so my passport is about to expired this coming April and I'm planning to renew it but going to change my last name into my husband's name. He is a US citizen and we got married in Texas, and one of the requirements  is a report of marriage duly authenticated by nso if married broad, but when I went to nso near here where I live they said that they don't do it, that I should go to Manila city hall instead. So where should I go nso or Manila city hall.

  9. about the marriage certificate do we really need to file it at the Philippine consulate in LA? Or there is also a place here in the Philippines to report it.  Coz right now we are already here in the Philippines. If so, could my husband file it there by himself or I also need to be there. Coz I can't go back to US unless I already have visa.

  10. Hi VJ. I just got married to a US citizen in Texas. I had a J1 visa that is why I was in Texas but right now me and my husband is currently living here in the Philippines. We just got married in Texas but didn't not report our marriage certificate at the Philippine consulate and also we don't have time to change my status or submit any requirements to the USCIS. So right now we r having trouble for me to go back to US in easy way.  And also we don't know where to report our marriage certificate here in the Philippines.
