Hey everybody!!! hope u all are doing good, i have another question... my husband and I apply for the AOS so now we are waitting we already have the fingerprints and the case being move to California, so we was wondering while we are waiting can we go on a cruice that goes around mexico??? once I have that green card I need to apply for advance parole to go on a cruice??? or just need the green card to travel??? anybody know how this owrks??? i know we should apply to the advance parole if I want to go out of US. but didnt.... so we was wondering that this is just a cruice so maybe id ont need anything, but we are planning this cruice for march next year so maybe for that time i have that green card so maybe that is enough to go on a cruice o visit myc ountry for 5 days???? hope anybody can help me!!!! have a good weekend!!!!!

Hi everybody the other day My husband call to Louisiana DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE OF MOTOR VEHICLES, so they contact him with the regional manager and he explain her that we went to the driver license place at Oakdale, Louisiana 4 times and all the times they say they cant give me a driver license bc my visa have less than 180 days to expire, so this lady said thats not right bc once we are marry we just have to go there with our I797 (notice of action), marriage certificate, passport, and social securty, and they have to tst me for the driver license, this really nice lady call to the driver license place at Oakdale , Louisiana and told them that we are going for the driver license, so we went and than they say I need to take de 6 hrs. driving classes but my husband call to the regional manager again and ask her if I need it bc we read at the website just people under 17 have to take it, or pleople than dont have a driver license from a foreing country so she said we are right and she call again to Oakdale and told them why tehy say that so we went the next day and I took my write and driving test and I pass it!!!, so now I have my driver license!!!! justa want to share this experience with everybody, bc maybe at other states is the same, good luck for everybody!!!!

HI I LIVE AT MITTIE LOUISIANA CLOSE TO OAKDALE, THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

I live in Louisiana also and yepp, they don't make it easy. I had to go there twice too, the first time I went with my passport and SSN and they told me I have to wait for something "official" that proofs that I was in the US legally. EAD or greencard.

So I had to wait for my EAD card, went there again and again...wasn't enough, they wanted to see my greencard.

At that point I insisted on what they post on the DMV website, that I am eligible for a DL.

The lady disappeared for a good 20 mins then came back with a piece of paper that said she needed to see my marriage certificate and the NOA2 for the K-1.

I swear she made this up just to annoy me, because when I produced the marriage certificate and showed her the NOA1 for my AOS she had no idea what the differences were, so I explained her in depth what my status here is.

I guess she was so confused with all her papers that she let me took the written test right away, had the driving test the next day and I even was able to keep my german dl...lol

Sometimes you just have to be a lil persistant....

Where in LA do you live?

Oh and yes, I could have gotten a drivers permit until I had my EAD.

Hi everybody my husband and I wnet to the driver license place and ask for a driver licene for me, theys ay they cant give a driver license bc my visa is fixing to expire, so we told them that we read at the website from louisiana driver license that people holding a fiancee once they marry a US citizen they just have to bring the marriage certificate, passport and I797 and they can give us a license, well that lady not nice, grumpy, say she cant, somebody who lives at Louisiana get theyre license before they approve the adjustment of status paper work, bc is complety stupid they are fixing to give us the employment authorization at the end of September and tehy cant give me a driver lice3nse till tehy approve the adjustment of status, so how I suppose to go work? walking??? well if somebody have the smae prolem i really apreciatte urs experiecne with us. well have to go,

Hi we apply for the adjustment of status and work authorizacion but they mail back the work authorizacion bc we dont send the check with the right ammount of money so we mail it again with the check with the exact amount for the work aythorizacion and they mail it back bc i forgot to sign so than we mail it again and finally it was ok, the mail me a letter w/the date for my appointment for the biometrics for the adjustment of status, than last week I get another paper at the mail w/another appointment for biometrics again but this time is for the work authorizacion, I call to the USCIS they say that they can do that they can take my fingerprints again bc are different applications, also they told me have to go the doctor I went to the doctor and mail it to Chicago i think, and just waittting, how long after the biometr5ics have to wait, what is the next step??? somebody made the same stupid mistake i did? forogot sign and dont mail the check qith the right ammount of money? or apply separate the forms??? well hope somebody can help me, and tell me how this paper work works, bc im lost at the space.....

Hi everybody, My husband and I just mail all the forms to begin this AOS process, once we mail all this papers to Chicago Ilinois, what we have to do? what is next? we send the forms G325A i think, also the affidavit of support, other form that is the authorization for work, and the other to travel, I have my social security since 2004 but is with my maiden name we wanto to change it to my married name, and we also want to apply for the driver license, somebody can help me, sharing theyre expirence with this process, what we have to do after we mail all the papers, and how long it takes. well thanks to everybody for ur help, and good luck to everybody who are in this journey

Hi everybody, how are u all doing? finally im with my man now we are getting ready to get marry this May 12 at 4pm. everything is almost ready, now we are wondering what other paper work we have to do after get marry, if somebody an help us, i really appreciatte that!!!! we are planning get marry in 2 weeks and have the wedding we are preparing for our family at church, so maybe we have to do allt his papaer work once we et marry in 2 weeks, well thank u for ur help!!! hope u guys email me back as soon as u can, love hugs and kisses to everybody

Hello everybody!!!!! Today finally I get my packet 3 and 4, my interview is February 21, Im so nervous, and happy because hopefully soon I can be again together with my nenito!!!! Someboyd have and advice or recomendation for me??? I almost have all the papers im going to need for the interview I have to translate my birrth certificate or other papers? What doctor do u think I have to go? My fiancee cant go with me to the interview is that bad? I have a lot of qquestions but im so excited and nervous and I justcant think Well guys thanks for ur help!!! my best wishes for all u!!!

Im going to call to the embassy again, ask if they mail me the package, ask if they set the intrview yet, Well my fiance is working on all the papers we are going to need for the interview, and im doing the same, i have another question.... my birth certificate have to be from RENIEC? Im register at Miraflores and always when I need a birth ceertificate I have to go to Miraflores municipality. Hope some of you have the interview the same day like mine, so we cant get bored waitting!!! hahaha..... Hi this is Andrea from Lima - Perú B) well I want to know if somebody can help me please!!! My fiance got January 3 a letter from NVC saying they are sending our case to US embassy in Lima Peru, so I called to the embassy in Peru and they got our case, ask when I going to get my packet or package, and when is going to be my inerview, they just say have to wait tillthe end of February, But I dont know... Just want to know if theres other couples From Peru that can tell me how long takes from the US embassy in Lima Peru got the case to get your packet or package 3 - 4???, I really appreciatte if somebidy can answer my ?
