I guess this changes just too late for more of us, since our GC has been taken by the field office when we had the I-551 stamp on our passports...

They should get to you soon. Submit an abnormal case time when the 11/23 day come and check. If it was indeed transferred they will say wait till end of august probably and then you should really ask about it a lot.
MHZ, Thank you. Two more weeks to go before I can file the "Outside normal processing time" request.

I don't believe so. It might be an automated message just letting you know some activity was established on your account. If they ask for further evidence, your update would say Requested for Additional Evidence (RFE) and you will get an RFE letter in the mail. using the address you provided.
I would place a service request online or call the USCIS phone # & request to speak to a tier 2 officer to see exactly what is going on.
Best of luck!
previously the emails indicated the last action took on the case was on March 1, 2018...

Got the auto-email update indicated they "last took action on my case on June 5th, 2018." until now there is nothing, does it mean RFE is on the way??

Do you think that means anything?
not sure, may be: (1) the security/background check not done yet, (2) further checks/reviews/approvals needed, (3) left on the bottom of the stack? (4) lost/misplaced...

Are you guys suggesting that they don't actually approve RFE cases and it's simply extra work load since they almost always interview those cases?
I got an RFE and working on sending my docs over. I'm not too worried about it because my marriage is in good faith so it's only matter of time that they find out.
Nope, that's not what I mean. from the record, it seems most RFE cases are approved.
-
There are too many, way too many RFE issued, which double their workloads for these cases. I think in average they have issued RFE for >10% of the cases. Not sure if there is really the case or just bcoz they want "extreme wetting". I would rather they just schedule the interviews, instead sending back and forth for the documents for RFEs, and the employees have to review AGAIN!..

Yesterday DHS director announced increased of H-2B visa counts by 15k, which means they want to collect more money while delaying all others submitted petitions. I don't mind they delay the process, however they need to communicate the information about I-551 Stamp in the passport is a valid extension to all carriers. Some of us have been facing challenges/stresses/anxious while trying to visit family and business trips oversea.

This is really bad!!! from 17.5-19 months now became 18-20 months? What are they trying to achieve? I am not sure if there is case or class action suit for mental/psychology damage here? in their Historical Processing time summary, it indicated Q1 2018 is 14.9 months for I-751... https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt

have to mail in? not just do it online?

Congratulations. I filed the same day as you but still nothing. I feel I am burnt out. My husband kicked me out from the house and at that time I was an intern with 15 dollar/hour pay. Now literally I am mentally crazy and hope this green card got approved then I can safely stay here. I don't know when I can get approved and I am really anxious. ....
Did you file the Inquiry for Case outside normal processing time?

yea it is. I will qualify to create a service request after a week, so will just wait on that..
did you see there is one petitioner in Oct/2016 got respond about CASE ON-HOLD PENDING SECURITY CHECK...

October 2016 filer. Finally got a respond from USCIS regarding my case and they are saying:
We placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.
Was anybody ever in this situation where the security check is pending? I was reading on this forum from another user that she had the same problem because she flew to japan so the case was set back. Sounds kinda weird but I actually flew since October 2016 probably 3-4 times to germany to see my family.
Please if anybody has any advice on that I would really appreciate it. I also contacted my local senator a couple days ago before I got a respond from uscis.
didn't they start the security check after the biometric taken? it needs more than 1.5 years for security check? is it bcoz of the country?
-
when you used the tracker App, you can see that there are cases submitted at the end of Oct/2016 still not processed... which apparently, they all are outside of normal processing time and USCIS definitely know about that as we can see those cases, but they just didn't think to adjudicate them asap but rather wait for the petitioners to file for Inquiries?

beside March 4, 2018 Local office Transfer glitch, No movement. The last e-mail I got from CSC was that my case was at pre-adjudication unit in CSC. I did not file N-400.

Hello cooga11,
I advise you to wait. Something is definitely cooking and you will hear back soon. I did a case inquiry when mine was pending and got the same e-mail response you have here. Within 4 weeks of getting that email, my case was approved. Got my card a week after approval so i waited a total of 5 weeks.
Just live your life and don't worry about it. Its good that you got your stamp so you can travel and have work authorization. Your time is coming. It sucks that USCIS is slow but all you can do is stay positive and be patient with them.
Congrats on #2 by the way
Did you file the inquiry even the date is not within the Inquiry Date published in USCIS.gov site?

My husband's ROC NOA 11/23/2016 (Thanksgiving weekend), but the system showed received on 11/28/2016 instead.
