Your future EX could sign the divorce documents and make life simple.    But for your EX to marry in the Philippines she would need to complete the recognition process.

Ok...so I marry in Hong kong without getting recognition of divorce in phil...will there be problems with immigration or CFO or new wife registering our marriage in Phil?

I'd still be living with her till DCF of CR1

You are in the USA, the divorce process is governed by the state you live in,  after the divorce you would be free to marry anywhere in the world EXCEPT the Philippines.(without the recognition process) so you could complete the K-1, bring your fiancee to the USA then marry... all is good for you.  ;)

Your EX living in the Philippines would not be free to marry unless she could complete the recognition of divorce.

I really wanted to marry her there and stay till I can bring her here...so if my wife signs the papers and joins the divorce , she couldn't marry again in Phil but could I? And if I marry my fiance in Hong Kong while the recognition is in worksin court in Phil,  that should fix any problems that would arise for immigration?

You sort of walked right in to that mess ignoring the ... big red flag = sending money continually.    Rule # 1:    If a Filipina starts asking for money..... RUN!!      (I say this not to condemn you or anything of the sort, but for those that come behind you ... NEVER send money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     IF a Filipina asks for money that is time to cut and run!)

Your divorce in the USA is good everywhere in the world except the Philippines (unless you do the recognition process at a RTC).     You may be an American, but you are talking of marrying IN the Philippines, and to do that you MUST conform to Philippine law.. so without the recognition process you can not marry in the Phils.   But that does not stop you from completing the K-1 visa process .. if you so choose, for that you DON'T need the recognition of divorce.

The recognition of divorce relates to ALL that want to marry in the Philippines.. if they were married in the Philippines or completed ROM after marriage in the USA.   You want to marry in the Philippines a 2nd time you will need to find an attorney and complete the recognition process in the RTC .

    DCF is an IR/CR-1  I-130.

What if I fly her to Hong Kong,  get married then go to her town and stay till I can get a DCF CR1? I could still then get an attorney to file for the recognition

Thank you..thats what I was afraid of...if my bed Johnson the divorce, it's my understanding she would not be free to remarry. Would I still be?

Sorry to hear about your bad experience man.  If you were married with a U.S. certificate, I'd cancel that contract and send her back to Manila.  If you wanted to try and forgive and make it work, I don't think it would ever fully be okay.  Lots of scammers in the Philippines.  You got to find a good church girl.  Good luck man.  That gets me in the gut.  She has to have a green card and affidavits of support man.  Don't feel too bad.

I married her there. She busted herself as unfaithful before I filed any visa papers so, yeah, she can stay right were she is..

Will  they accept since I won't have got it recognised through Phil courts. The Phil woman who have posted can't use their ex's papers without recognition.  I'm hoping because I'm American, not Philippino that the American decree is enough

Has anyone here been married twice in Philippines and tried this without going through their courts first?

    1) YES, there is no such thing as divorce in the PI anyway

    K-3 is obsolete..  CR1

Thanks.. but when I get CEMAR it will show I'm already married to a local. Will my US divorce papers be enough to get marriage license or will I need Phil court recognition. Also will my new wife have problems at CFO if I don't get Phil court recognition?

  8. Long post but for anyone having doubts of any kind concerning your oversees fiance, maybe this will encourage you to have a third party check her out before you throw your life away to be with her.

Not sure how this happened. I was successful but very lonely business man here in America and met a gentle 20 y/o Filipina online.. Fell so head over heels, I couldn't concentrate at work. I gave up my job, sold my cars, let my nearly paid off house go and moved my possessions clear across the U.S. for storage at families house.. then I went to Phil and married my dream woman. I should have been smarter. As soon as I got there, within two weeks it was obvious her family had been scamming me. None even tried to work. They'd been living completely off of me for months. I told my fiance that it wasn't right so if she wanted me, we should leave and we did. I set up a house far away from her families cause at this point she was afraid of them. We got married and things were good for the next 6 months while I was there.

When I got back to USA,  everything changes. I've since found out it was only a week later she started going out and within a couple months having men spend the night. I first noticed she was acting rude and short with me Until she needed her monthly finances..lol..nice for a few days ahead and a day or two after but then grouchy the rest of the month. Then pictures started showing up online and a mutual friend from there sent a picture of her snuggled on bed with another guy. Since then I confronted her and She denied everything. I sent a picture and then shes only texted responses to me since.

Her mother texted me often to say her daughter didnt do anything wrong, just drunk and fell asleep like that and my wifes not talking because she's mad I accuse her, that I should apologize..lol..after awhile I wanted to believe her..  Friends from there are mad though because then she started being very open there with her infidelity.  I have no doubt now with 260 pictures of partying and other men and witness accounts of her bringing them home or spending the night with them that she's not only been unfaithful but that she most likely never loved me at all.

So great.. I've been scammed but worse ran through the most painful , degrading experience in my life. I nearly committed suicide I was so ashamed. But with the help of friends I've moved on but didnt divorce.

One friend who helped me has been married for years to a Filipina and a few months back had his wife's cousin contact me. When I asked him about it, he chuckled and said everyone deserves to be happy and to get to know this young lady. I have and now as impossible as it seems, I love her. I'd like to marry her but my past is going to make things tough.

    Questions:

    1. I can get divorce rather simply here.

I would rather not get recognition of foreign decree there because of cost and time. All the information I find about the recognition of philippine courts concerns the Filipnas rights to remarry and it's affect on immigration.  Since im American and goverened by American divorce law, If I have my divorce papers, will I be able to get a marriage license there? Will I be able to register our new marriage there. Will it mess up a DCF if I don't get it recognised first?

When I go to be with my wife to be, I want to marry and just stay until I can file k3 DCF...

I know this was long but when I go back to Philippines I want everything figured out first so I don't make a worse mess of things.. any help is appreciate.
