I have a question. Just had my interview in Canada on Feb. 18. I knew then that I needed to send in my police clearance but the notice on CEAC says they will let me know if they need me to send something. So I’m not sure where to send it to and when? Do I wait until they ask for it or send it now?

I’m (hopefully) about to finally done my CR1 process and my husband is having a terrible time finding a health insurance that will cover both of us plus our baby due in March that won’t break the bank. He was looking at a gold plan but he found out something about since we both make a certain amount of money, the plan went from costing 280 a month to 700. If anyone has any advice at all, I would be forever grateful!

Hey! I’m in this boat right now! Due to sending in  a few documents incorrectly (picture not rotated they way they wanted it 🙄), we are waiting for an interview date after a year and two months. Baby is due in March. SO complicated seeming and stressful! I have no idea where to give birth, or what my maternity leave will look like as I will still be working in canada. It’s hard to wait to start a family but I think this confusion is really stressful!!!

We began filing our CR1 13 months ago and are at the stage where NVC is (re)checking our documents. A few days ago, I found out I (the Canadian) am pregnant. I sought advice from a group on Facebook and many have told me that in my interview they will tell me I can not move until after the baby is born. Just curious if anyone has experienced this. Obviously, I would like to be living with my husband by then but if it can’t be then it can’t be. 

Sorry if this is a commonly known thing, but we aren’t using a lawyer and everything is kind of foggy. I’m wondering if I have to bring my husband (American) to the interview in Montreal? Only reason I ask is the less days he has to take off work for that, the more we can use for our honeymoon! Thanks!
