After my case was transferred, I raised an inquiry after 60 days, as at that moment is was already (I thought) outside the normal processing time (meanwhile is was expanded to 19-22 in stead of the 17-19 months)

Nevertheless two weeks later I had my appointment, answer of the inquiry was that my case was at my local office.

All in all it took for me about 22 months.

We went 2 weeks later, IO was complaining about our health insurance changes (as it looked shortly before the interview we wanted to look married again) When we told that my wife lost her fixed job and did not have benefits working as a PRN and that I only had benefits since July she relaxed. At the end of the meeting she told us she would approve my case, two weeks later had my green card.

Did you already start an inquiry?? When your case is outside of the listed processing time and 60 days after the last status change you can start an inquiry.

I started mine after i received a RFE in April 2018, on May 3rd it was transferred to NBC and July 6th I started my inquiry. August I had my interview and 10 days later my card.

Our interview didn't last that long, we saw trouble when she started asking questions about our health insurance. My wife changed jobs and lost her and mine coverage and a few months before the interview she was offered health insurance through her new employer. But the lady told us it looked like that suddenly because of the interview we wanted to look married.
But after all, at the end of the interview she told us she was going to approve my removal of conditions. At the end of the day I received the text message that my case status had changed and a week later had the approval letter in the mail, about 2.5 weeks later I think I had my GC.

When I started my inquiry time had also changed and I hadn't checked it. So the email told me that I was still within the processing time. But guess it stirred things up as I had my invitation a week after.

I was also on marriage based, I-130 as I remember correctly.

Had filed for fiancee but that was somehow denied, after we got married we filed for family reunification. That was granted in about half a year (april-december).

i-751 took about 1 year and 10 months.

My wife was not feeling well so I did go alone otherwise we both would have gone. I admit it is confusing as the letter only states to bring your documentation and is not specific about the spouse.

My IO was also not sure so she went to her supervisor and came with the answer we had to reschedule the appointment as we both had to be present. It could be the same day at 2pm or otherwise in 2 weeks. My wife had a job interview that afternoon so we went back together 2 weeks later.

I had my interview in the morning and the IO told at the end she would approve my ROC. In the afternoon around 4pm I received the text message that my status was updated to 'card is being produced'.

Did you also do the test? in my opinion they wouldn't want to bother wasting their time if your I-751 wouldn't be approved.
I did only a I-751 interview and the IO told at the end she was going to approve it.

Day 63 after receiving update that my case was in NBC for an interview to be scheduled, I submitted an out of normal processing time case request (I filed Nov 2016).

Mid September I received a letter with the date for interview in October.

 

Counting the days for the interview and hoping this process finally ends.

 

Thank you for the help you gave me every time I asked you a question. 

 

Good luck on the interview. Finally a long wait will be over.

I haven't started the N400 yet but think will do that beginning next year.

About 10-11 days after the interview I received my card.

They will tell you what they decide at the end of the interview.

All that are still waiting, good luck. Since yesterday my wait is over I received my new unconditional GC in the mail (no signature required).
Finally some peace after 688 days or 1 year 10 months and 19 days. Had my card in my hand 11 days after the interview.

That you never received the letter is strange (but we also have some mail that did show up in ID and never showed up). Almost looks like they have the wrong address information. The GC is send with tracking code so it will be seen in ID as a package and not as a letter and thus doesn't show up as an image in the ID mail you get. Just checked mine and it only shows a letter from the FCC and Farmers Insurance, it does say there is a package coming from USCIS-Corbin but the letter is not scanned.

That is indeed strange.

If you sign up for Informed Delivery you can add some extra info for example to deliver it to your neighbor or even 'other' or put your mail 'on hold' don't think you can put it longer on hold than 30 days but you can extend when it almost expires.

In April there was an info bulletin that from than they would need a signature for delivery but others mentioned they didn't sign anything when they received their GC. In a few hours I hope I can tell.

It is indeed pretty quick. They just two month ago adjusted the processing time for the I-751 from 17-19 months for CSC to 20-22 months.

But also when you fill in your case number in the case tracker app it shows that your card was returned to USCIS.

Also my case from October 2016 started with 17024. 

But I wonder why your card was returned?? Did you move? If so make sure you correct your address.

Also sign up for Informed Delivery from USPS, as soon as a package is send to your address it shows up in there.

With the status card was mailed it means mail is being prepared and it doesn't show yet in ID. But as soon as the card is picked up by USPS it does, also the case status will say card was picked up by USPS.

In the past we have seen case statuses that didn't make sense and they were explained as being computer glitches. But it turns out it is a system message that will say at least something is happening to your case.

End of February I received a case status "Case was received by local office" that was the first change for me since my case was received October 2016. It turns out to be that it meant that my file was taken out of a dusty storage room and was actually somewhere in a pile on an officer's desk. In March I received a Request For Evidence (RFE) and after they received it it was quiet again until May 1st when my case was transferred to NBC in Lee's Summit, Mo. 61 days later (passed the 19 months since filing) I started a case inquiry. Within a week I had an email stating my case was still within the time limits (did not check the processing time was extended to 20-22 months) and pending at my local office.

Within a week I also had an appointment letter for an interview (my evidence was not convincing enough). The appointment letter was a little vague, it only said I had to come and bring documents, no referral to my spouse. She was not feeling well and I came to the appointment by myself. The IO went to ask and she had to be present, I could come back in the afternoon. Unfortunate my wife had a job interview at the proposed time so we rescheduled for two weeks later. I asked the lady what the reason for the interview was, but she didn't say.

Two weeks later we went together. Interview lasted shorter than 30 minutes, and turned out that the evidence was not strong enough. Meanwhile we had some additional evidence that I didn't have yet at the RFE, and she told us that she would approve the case. But if she would have explained, the first time when I asked, that in our evidence was a gap between 2015 and 2017 I would have brought the tax returns for those years. Now I only took the last two returns as asked to do so in the invitation.

As of now I would make sure they have a correct address, sign up for Informed Delivery from USPS and do the e-request to resend your green card.

The email you showed (some would say not to post your case number) looks legit, but it is indeed a very expedited case. If everything went well maybe I would have had my card somewhere in April (16 months), but because the lacking evidence it took some months longer.

Around the time my case was "transferred to another office that has now jurisdiction" May 1st to 3rd there are 15 other cases still waiting on Lee's Summit.
Still think that my case inquiry after 61 days after transfer sped up the process. Hopefully tomorrow have my new GC in my hand.

Hello all,

Last week Wednesday (8/29) my I-751 interview and the lady IO told us she would approve my application. Wednesday afternoon text message "case status changed". Status stated New card is being produced.
Tuesday (9/4) (guess because of labor day) received my letter that case was approved and in the afternoon text message case status changed. Status stated Card is mailed to you.

Wednesday (9/5) Another email and text message of "case status changed' Status changed to Card was picked up by United States Postal Service. Tracking code showed up in Informed Delivery. Expected Delivery 9/8.

I have been in the group and I have been following all the comments and everything it helps prepare for anything uscis is bringing to every one of us ...so I decide to share my own story ....so I submitted my I-751on January 20, 2017, and i got all necessary documents that I suppose to get after the submission and ever since then I heard nothing from uscis I called and do some info still nothing so I decide to file for my N400 which I did in April 30th, 2018 and exactly 3 months after the submission of the N400 I received interview which is today Sept 4th, 2019 12:35 pm in Greer South Carolina I got to my appointment at 12 pm and I was there for thirty minutes before I was called in as soon as i got in he placed me on oath and he said i still have i-751 pending which mean they will have to deal with that firt before moving to the N400 and i said okay .....he asked me if I'm still with my wife and i said yes he hasked me if there is anything to demostrate that we still together ..i ghave him the deeds of the house we just bouth about a month ago...i gave him the new house bill with the two names on it and etc.....he told me he's good to go to the N400 i said okay they gave me stuff to read and write which i did and they ask me questions and he stop on the 6th one and he finally told me that he won't be able to say approved to me because he sent email to California to give him the authority to adjudicate the 751 that as soon as he got something back i will hear from them he said he usually takes two to three days ..does anyone knows whats going to happen ????

I had my interview (I-751 only) last week Wednesday at 11am and at 4pm I already received a text message that my status had changed. And today that my card was mailed. So it shouldn't take that long in my opinion.

Was just the basic stuff, she didn't really ask that much. She confirmed our wedding date, address we lived.. after that she started about if I was insured in 2017, which I was not. Than she started that it was a bit fishy that since early 2018 I got insured again by my wife. So she more or less wanted to have proof of what happened between 2013 year we got married and 2015. As I had the tax returns of 2016 and 2017. And the new car lease and insurance but that was all 2017-2018.
I told her that if the letter would have said bring your shared tax returns I would have done it, but it only said the last two tax return statements.
We showed her proof that she is now insured through me and something we bought last month and both signed for.
Than she said okay I'm going to approve your case.

I printed photo's of our road trip last month to Key West, but she didn't even ask for family photo's.

Had my interview yesterday and was approved.. Case status changed to 'New card is being produced' 

Finally an end to to big long wait for  1 year, 10 months, 5 days.
