    Hello,

If you don't mind me asking - how long did it take to get the letter from the Embassy since "ready" status on CEAC website?

    Thanks!

    Elena

I don't specifically remember when the CEAC website said ready, but I know it was 17 days from the time I received the email from the NVC until I receive the email from the Embassy and I know it said ready before that because I remember being confused about what exactly I do now. 😂

    Hope that helps!

  2. I received an email from the US Embassy in Moscow from the Immigrant visa unit. The body of the email contains basic personal information and the attached letter in both English and Russian is generic with no personal information. Since this letter we have had no contact from the embassy. As an aside, the NVC letter was received by my fiance in the mail about 35-40 days after I received it via email.

  3. Neon,

Thanks for the reply! I am interested to know if the US Embassy helped you get it at all? If so, how did they help?

Also, did you at any time request a waiver for the Kyrgyz police certificate from the US Embassy?

My fiancee has not lived in Uzbekistan for 20 years. So I am thinking I will at least ask the US Embassy to see if they will waive this police certificate especially when the Russian one will be clean.

    Anyone have any insight?

  4. Hello,

I've got a big problem I hope you can help with. My fiancee lived in Uzbekistan for the first 21 years of her life before moving to and now is a citizen of Russia. Apparently obtaining a police certificate from there is all but impossible in Uzbekistan. She knows this because she has attempted the same for her father was to have a relative there to act as power of attorney and physically pick it up for her. She has no one there now to do this. Are there other options?

  5. Hello All,

I have a similar issue as discussed here. My fiancee, from Russia, has a 4 year old child that the biological father had no contact of any kind with the father until hearing of the emigration of the mother to the US (and obviously taking the child as well). At that point he went to court to push paternity rights which were granted. He has refused to allow his consent for child to leave Russia.

My fiancee was told by members of court staff that she cannot do much of anything now, but after she comes to the US and we many she can then petition the court to allow the move of the child to the US. The child would stay with my fiancee's parents as guardians, who all currently live together until then.

Does anyone know of any particular things that can be done to ensure that the child will be able to come to the US?

  6. Hello,

I am anxiously awaiting the day I can fill my I-129f to begin my process. I have to wait for my previous divorce to get out of Nisi before I can file. I cannot file until June 13, 2018. I am anticipating a change in employment soon, but I should have the flexibility to delay until June 13 if necessary. My current service center is Vermont, which seems to be averaging about 100 days less than the Texas center. My question is this, should I wait until June 13 and submit to VSC and then move or will it be moot because if after I file it be transferred to TSC
