  1. I recently got an updated status notice, and it says "On October 19, 2018, we updated your name for your Form I129F, PETITION FOR ALIEN FIANCÉ(E),"
For the sake of keeping my last name anonymous, let's say
I was born with the last name Smith
I legally changed it to Johnson.
I filed the entire form under the name Johnson, sent a copy of my legal name change by court document with seal, sent a photocopy of every page of my new passport with Johnson.  I also scanned a copy of my birth certificate saying Smith, for the purpose of showing that the name change document was correct that it went from Smith to Johnson.  Does this new status change mean they've just changed everything in my application to Smith?  I listed Smith as an alternative name I have gone by in the past, but in no case is the current, true, legal name.  I am very confused. Has anyone else gotten this notice and knows what it means?  I can't find a way to contact them to see what name they updated my case to.

  2. I traveled to visit my fiancee in the middle of November 2017, and  I have the stamp from Heathrow in my passport.  I changed my  name last week, and am now going to require a new passport.  Am I correct in assuming that it will be okay to have a complete scan of the passport used during my trip as evidence of meeting and a complete scan of my new passport as evidence of US citizenship (instead of birth certificate)?  If so, would the best plan be in the table of contents, clearly label them sectioned off by tabs as "Passport Used During November 2017 Visit" and "Currently Valid Passport"? I want to make sure that my first submitting of the 129f is my only one! Thanks.

  3. My fiancee (UK) and I (US) speak constantly over Skype to Skype video call daily and have for several months now.  I found how to pull up chat and call logs for the past year, however it includes all of our chat history, not just the call history.  How important is it that they have all of the chat information?  A lot of times, we would only use the chat function when discussing things that were too hard to say out loud, especially personal things such as traumatic events.  I don't feel comfortable with this information being disseminated to anyone, even if it's just a random gov't employee who I will never meet or speak to. Can I black out certain sections of our chat history?  Will that look suspicious?  Is there just a way to show all of our call start and end times and skip displaying the chat at all?  Any help to any of this would be much appreciated! Thank you.

  4. My fiancee and I are planning to file for K1 visa in February in hopes of being able to marry in November/December.  We'll likely marry as soon as possible, just considering worst case scenario times, we figure expecting a later date is better than being overly optimistic and thinking the process will take a shorter time.  My confusion comes in with what happens after marriage.  She comes here, we get married on day 2.  At this point, does she get kicked out of the country after the rest of that 90 days is up? How long does she get to stay while we go through all of the AoS stuff, because I've read that takes a long time, and it would be terrible for her to have to return to England while waiting for it all to process.  I'm sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but I'm really confused.  Thanks for any help you can provide!
