  1. Our case was received on Nov 6, and the website says to follow the instructions on the notice and to call in by Dec 6 if we do not receive it. We have the receipt notice but it doesn't seem to have any instructions or action items listed. The only thing that could possibly be an action item is that it says to verify the personal information listed above, but says only to call if there are any changed with that information. Am I supposed to be doing anything at this point? Or just waiting?

    Thanks,

  2. I'm Canadian, my Fiance is American. About a month ago, we submitted our initial application for a K1 Visa, and the status reads as received.

It's my understanding that i should be receiving something in the mail for the next part of this process. I received a letter that I THINK was from a canadian immigration office. The reason I'm not sure, is because I was out of town and unable to sign for it. It was returned to sender. Canada post is unable to tell me who sent the letter. Just that it came from Mississauga (where there is an immigration office). I've tried calling the Canadian immigration support number, but none of the automated options apply to me, as I am applying for an American visa. And I can't get through to a live agent.

Can anyone shed any light on this process, and what I should do? Does it make sense that I should be receiving something in the mail from the Canadian government at this point in our timeline? Will they re-send the paperwork? Will my fiance receive an update regarding the failed attempt? Any information you can give would be helpful, as I cant seem to find any help on the CIC website or on the phone.

    Thanks,
