Haven't been around VJ or I2US much. Been busy with Married Life...It's wonderful!!! and now AOS.

just noticed my name is incorrect on the AOS Receipt. I called the 1 800# and was told he must call to make the change since it technically is HIS application although I am the petitioner.

Should I worry? This is how it reads:

Husbands Name

c/o (Middle Name)(new Married Last Name) instead of (First name) (Middle Name) (new married last name)

Address

It may not seem like a big deal but when I see it it's not me. (does that make sense?)

anyway I'll have him call.

I took your advice and we cancelled our appointment. But now I am starting to worry.

I am sure you already know, but people now have to go online to schedule their appointment for the I-601 waiver through infopass after you have your general interview. They no longer allow you to file the waiver at the same time as your interview. So that's what we did. After my wife was interviewed last Monday Feb. 26th, I scheduled her appointment online for March 7th. You are able to get your appointment to file the waiver like 1-2 weeks after the initial interview. But.....when I cancelled the appointment, it said on the screen that you may not be able to reschedule this appointment. So then I went back on to try to schedule just to see if I could. They do let you reschedule, but the window they had for me was between now and March 16. My question is do they only give you a window of a couple weeks to schedule your I-601 waiver filing after your interview? They wouldn't even allow you to schedule for April yet. I am worried. We have been waiting for 15 months now to file this waiver and now I am not sure if we will get another chance if we don't file it now. Thank you Kitkat for all the info.

Tom, you are within the pilot program dates.

On March 1st the pilot program has started. If you scheduled an appt through infopass for waiver submission you are in the new program limits. If your case is a clearly approvable case the waiver could be approved that day. Then the consulate will either approve the immigrant va\isa that day or wihtin the next one to two days.

WOW chikimyrn, now that was one quick approval. I think you may hold one of the quickest approval records for VJ, or at least the quickest one I have seen. Hopefully everything goes by fast for you!

I hope it keeps going quickly....however, I've e-mailed CDJ and they still do not have our file. I know it may be too soon so i'm realistically expecting to get the packet in early march. I hope its not longer than that. My feelings are mixed...the sooner the better.....but then separation.....we have to file a waiver. My fiance sometimes just wants to get married and then deal with everything later...then rethinks and agrees that this is better for us.....anyway....we're waiting....

I just wanted to let you know how helpful your research and answers have been through this process. since I am still way behind most of you I've copied and saved alot of info that may be helpful in the future when CDJ gets to my file. Anyway just wanted to say thanks and hope to keep reading and learning from your timeline. I'm also anxiously waiting for a response about your fiances waiver, so I could have a "real" idea and reasonable expectations. Right now, I'm researching the options of moving to Mexico at least temporarily and in the meantime enjoying the time left with fiance.......anyway thanks...That's all.
