  1. someone posted in another thread to hand carry the X Ray coz they asked for it at the at their POE in Hawaii. everything I've read or heard is you don't need to hand carry the X ray. I told Yazi to put it her in checked in. I just want to check to be sure, do you need to hand carry the X-ray?

I read that too Roy and I wondered about that. I also wonder why St. Lukes would now ask for POE when they did not do that before. I called them today and all they can say is that the embassy requires them to ask for POE.

So, I'm thinking that maybe if a lady puts Honolulu as POE, they would advise her to handcarry her X-ray and for other POEs, x-ray can be checked-in? Or maybe, the immigration guy at POE made a mistake and took the x-ray? Wow, this is really confusing now.

For those who have recently entered the US, please let us know if your x-rays were taken at POE and where your POE is.

Regarding I-94 (arrival card), ladies please make sure that your I-94 is stapled in your passport. You will need that at AOS. I read in another forum last year that a US immigration guy trashed the I-94 of a K-1 because he said "she does not need it" but the girl insisted on getting the I-94 and indeed it was required at AOS. It's hard to get another copy of I-94 so please make sure you have I-94 before you leave immigration counter.

Happy trip to all who are saying goodbye to the Philippines tomorrow. There are 3 or 4 ladies I believe who are travelling tomorrow.

    Have a safe journey!

    Hello,

I entered US last Dec.12,2006 at LAX and they didn't even ask for the x-ray.All they want is the brown envelope from the embassy.Hope this helps.

  2. Im going to be Calling them every day until they are so sick of me they will approve the Visa!

I will be very Calm but Very Persistant.

I gave them Originals for every Document that was listed!

    Even original Divorce Papers!

Whats worse is......My Fiance does not think there is any problem!.... I don't know how im gonna tell her. She did ask an officer there if we now are on AR. The officer said everything is in order. She then asked why is nothing checked off for a reason to not approve on the 221G? He would not aswer but reassured Her. So She thinks all is well....

Sounds to me like they just wanted to not have another upset person crying there & just wanted to move on to the next person huh? They just kept telling Her there was "No Problem"!

She Quit Her Job before the interview. Her last day is Dec. 10th. Hello Western Union from here till whenever to pay Her bills.

    Hello,

I had the same experience as your fiance.Everything's there for the CO but he still gave me a 221g like your fianace received and I had my visa after 6 weeks. They checked my CENOMAR but it takes a long time because they do everything in batches so just call the embassy everyday to let them know that you want her in US soon.

  3. Hey guys. The CFO lady at the seminar told my gal that she would not be allowed to use her knockoff L. Viton luggage to travel to the US since they are banned by the US govt. Anybody heard of this, and which agency would be implementing the policy. My quick scan of the regs found nothing.

    Hello,

It's an offence by law to bring fake items and she will be deported if she will.If tis ana original one its ok.

  7. Hi Mhel.

I dont know how long before your visa will be issued but you know ive read a thread in http://www.theworldoffilipinas.com that there's this person who received her visa after 8 months. Disappointing but that can happen to us... i dont know but it's hard for each one of us.

    God Bless You!

    Hello,

I have noticed that you're from Manila.Where in manila?I live here in Makati.Any news from your case?

  8. Fiancee's interview on November 24th, 2006 "wait til you hear from us" called embassy they say they are doing a routine verification of information. I suspect it's because she changed her first name on her BC.

Jamrok, you said in a later post that a lady at the USE informed you for sure that any Birth Certificate with a name change or correction automatically went to AR. Assuming this is correct, that means that Lilia and I have a guaranteed AR in store AFTER our interview.

Does anyone have any idea what the USE actually does in the AR process? Would it help if I prepaid a certified copy from NSO and had it delivered directly from NSO to USE with our case number on it, in advance of our expected February interview?

Can anything at all be done to avoid an eminent AR for a name spelling correction on Lilia's birth certificate? I need some help here. Please. :help::luv:

    Dear Robhankins,

Even you order BC and send it directly to USE,they want to inquire directly. And they will not let you know if you're on AR until you received this 221g paper stating "wait until you hear from us".Going with her on her interview won't help too coz they will ask you to wait outside the interview room.Just hope and pray that she will not be put on AR after her interview.Good luck.

  9. not really confused per say but just worried that i might not be able to fly there before i give birth... i'm currently pregnant and we have pregnancy problems... not that bad but enought for us to worry about it... and another concern is that... what if i give birth in my country and then get approved... i dont want to leave my baby... we just want to get things moving as fast as we possibly can... i just wanted information on where we are coz basically everything was done in the states... nothing was filed in my country... i just want clarification on things... thank you so much for your time in answering my query... i know i'd have more questions when the time comes. :D

    Dear Ame,

When are you due?I'm on CR1 and I had my baby 5mos.ago and i didn't have problems registering her and getting a US passport. You will need to go to the USE website and follow the instructions. You will need a lot of proof like copy of your husbands passport to prove that he's here with you. Then photos together and emails and letters. You have to call Fedex and they will deliver the forms to you.If your husband is not around you will have to pay an extra for Affidavit. You can send pm to me if you want,i live here in Makati.

  10. My fiancee just called me; she was asked 4 questions by the Afro American gentleman....joked around for a bit then when she went to pay for visa delivery she was handed a slip that says " we will call you" something to that effect. This means AR...right? She had a first name change on her BC...had all supporting docs but consul said he did not need them.....####### does this means? How much time are we looking at here?

    Dear jamrok,

You're not alone.I am also on AR from the time of my interview Oct.12,2006(CR1)until now.The USE gave me a paper thats 221g with a box marked "wait til you hear from us".I dont have any idea why they put me on AR becaause the CO even made a joke that i shouldn't blame him later if its too cold in New Hampshire but he still put me on AR.Its been 6 wks yesterday that im on AR.Ask your fiance to be patient and so are you because even you have all the proper docs from her changing her name, the USE wanted to check it directly from NSO.Is she from Manila? She can send pm to me or email me m_hunter923@yahoo.com.Its quite good to talk to someone who is also under the same situation sometimes.Hope she'll have her visa soon.

  11. See my post in your other post in the foreign embassy forum. Good luck

    any updates guys?

Can someone tell me when you were done with the interview did they tell you that you were going to be in AR? How did you find out?

    Dear Goodman,

I was not told that im on AR until my husband contacted his Congressman's aide.I thought i made it but i was wrong and it's really hard to think that i wasn't since the CO didn't tell me anything. It was so upsetting!!!!

  12. I am feeling like the Embassy has the intent of driving us to a point of madness or frustration or just pure rage!

I called today to confirm if our visa was approved. This is not a pretty story!

First call: Your visa petition has been put under document review..please call us back in 4 to 6 WEEKS!

    **PANIC SETS IN!**

Can you tell me why? NO

Can you give me better idea of how long this might take? NO

Can you let me talk to someone who can? NO

Can I speak with the consul? NO

They did not review the vast majority of our documents! I felt safe in assuming that the visa was approved! I WAS WRONG!

Second call: "PLEASE I BEG OF YOU! HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HAS HAPPENED!"

Sir the consul approved your visa and it is now going through name checks! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Is that the normal procedure that they do before issuing the visa? Is she approved or not? THIS IS STANDARD SOP SIR!

It will take no more than 2 weeks.

At this time I do not know what will take no more than two weeks! I just went from on top of the world to a pit of despair and frustration, which is quickly going to complete rage. The lack of information and lack of assistance is intolerable

Can someone help me to understand the language? Is it their normal procedure to review the documents and then print the visa? I know that people have got their visa in just a few days is that still a possibility? Is document review the same as AR? The very nice lady whom I spoke to said that the consul had approved our visa would she say that if it was going to put under AR?

Thank you all for listening...I am venting because I am so frustrated. It has been too slow of a process to have it postponed for more months after letting us believe that we would be together soon!

Don't know if this is the proper place for our thrilling news, but our I-129F for K3 was approved today. No status updates until today, but did receive THREE emails today. Our CR-1 was completed at NVC last week. Waiting to see which will arrive at Manila first...

Congratulations! Each step is one closer to happiness!

    Dear Goodman,

Sorry to hear that also happen to your fiance because it happened to me last Oct.12,2006.I thought my interview went well since the CO is very nice and even made a joke that about the weather in New Hampshire but I got a pink slip saying have to pay delbros and a 221g with a box ticked "wait til you hear from us".It was my husband who got the news that I'm on AR because of singleness.Eventhough I had one CENOMAR from NSO they said it still the same because they wanted to inquire directly. So whats the use of getting one from the NSO with their security paper if the USE dont even trust it.To make the story short, its been more than 5 weeks now that Im on AR and im losing hope sometimes. My husband calls almost everyday at the USE to get update. And this morning they told him that they had the results from NSO and they ask him to call next week.Hope your fiance/wife will be patient and ask her to do something to occupy her mind and not think about it.Luckily,I have our 5mos. old daughter that occupies me.Hope we'll all have our visa soon.God bless

    Mhel

  13. hello to all,

good day!!i just wanted to ask if you know what to do on my another problem here...when i had my u.s visa(tourist) my birthdate there was 1973..i got married when im not yet 18 years old..so what they did is they file another birthcertificate to make me older..my real birth date is 1977...when we apply for a us tourist visa last 2001 i used the birthdate 1973 coz thats what ive been using since i got married...

then last 2004 me and my husband seperated and i filed for a annulment here in pi....its been approve last year and the ground is i was still under age when i got married.i proved that by showing them my real birth certificate...now i am married to my american husband and im using my real birth date when he filed a petition to me...im just confused and very worried now for the consul might ask question of the different birthdate im using and i used before...well,i just also wanna add that the visa i had before has been cancelled the last time i visited in the states last 2004...i never over stayed in all my visits...all i know is that the immigration officer kept on asking if im working there and i said i did not work there..and thats it,they brought me back home the next flight they got in there...guys i hope you can help me with my problem...do you think showing the annulment paper that explains why i used different birthdate will atleast convince the consul that i did not wanted to do that in purpose??please guys help me on this....god bless to everybody and good luck to all of us... :D

    Dear Shella,

If I were you,you should go to DFA and change your passport using your original birth cert. but if you can go to a lawyer to do it for you,it will be less time in processing. You will have to spend to correct your mistake but it will be worth it.I had mine corrected too and it took 2 mos.You need a new passport later on because you need to send along with the petition.Hope this helps.

  14. Hello.I am also under AR since my interview Oct.12,2006.I was not ask to bring any additional documents but was given 221g with a mark wait til you hear from us.Its reaally hard to accept that after all the waiting for the interview and the CO will not give you any hint on what they want to review from the documents been submitted

I will pray for a speedy and positive conclusion for you and your beloved. I can't imaging the confusion and frustration that you must be feeling.

    Hello,

Thanks Uling for the kind words.Indeed,we're about to loose our patience waiting for my visa plus we have our almost 5 mos old daughter that's growing so fast and not knowing her dad.Hopefully we'll receive it soon.

  15. :clock: Ohh where is next months appointment dates?

    [/quote

    IS THIS TRUE????

NBI clearance and POLICE CERTIFICATE required for the Interview in Manila Even for people

who have never left the Phils or if they left for a vacation to another country for 3 weeks 12 yrs ago they

still have to get a police certificate??? I know the NBI is required but P/C also? first time I ma hearing this...

need some light shed on this please.

    Dear Jamrok,

Iis not true!!!!!You need to get a police clearance if you stayed in one place for more than six mos. so if its less than that you dont have to.You only need NBI clearance stating for US travel.I did get a lot of police clearance coz i stayed in one place for more than 6 mos.since I turned 16 yrs. old.Hope this helps.

  16. Since my Wife has never lived in another Country does she need police clearance or just NBI Clearance?

    thanks

    Mark

    Dear Mark,

I'm from RP too and your wife needs a police clearance from where she's residing now.If she had lived in the other part of the country when she turn 16yrs old she should get another police certificate from that place.Of course you need an NBI clearance too and state in the application its for "US travel".Hope that helps.

  17. Hi Mhel.

No they didnt give me timeframe. Just like you "wait 'til you hear from us" im starting to lose hope. I've made numerous calls to their call center and they are telling me the same thing "still under review"...I dont know what to do next.

    Hello Louchiw,

Wow!So that means I should expect that long too for my visa to arrive.I don't understand why they're still reviewing our case.My husband learned to be patient since we applied for my visa and I'm really :( because our daughter is growing (she's almost 5 mos. now) and I want her to know her daddy but what can we do.He called his Congressman's office and they told him that they (USE) made inquiries about my singleness and they are waiting for the reply from the Phil. government agency (NSO).So we need to have extremely long patience in this journey and hopefully we will receive our visa soon.Take care.

  18. I am under AR for 3 months and 10 days now since my interview. They required me to submit a copy of my previous Adjustment of Status from previous K1 visa but unfortunately, the copy is being requested and the turn over time is forever so I sumitted a letter of explaination on Aug 28, 2006. I've made numerous call to US Embassy Manila but they said, it is still under review.

Can Anyone help me regarding my case?

    Hello,

I am on AR too and its been exaactly one month today.I was given 221g with a mark "wait til you hear from us" and don't even know what is the CO is trying to review on my case.

You've been waiting too long did they gave you timeframe for them to review your case?

  19. hi sixstringjunkie.

yes, she is a k1 visa also. she's not an AR case. she got approved after interview. she had her interview same as mine on july 28. she got her visa oct 7. unfortunately, i am on AR right now. i was asked to submit my previous adjustment of status but don't have a copy so i just submitted a letter of explaination. i don't even know if i will get a visa or not.

    more patience...

You are under AR too??Why are you on AR?Did the CO told you what they're looking for?Had my interview last Oct 12,2006 and they gave me a 221g with box mark wait til you hear from us.Don't know when they will send me reply :( .

  20. Ater 7 week in administrative review hell, my wife's visa was finnally approved at the us embassy manila,it was in admin review for approx. 7 weeks from the date of the interview,we waited 17 months just for the interview so from start to finish it took 19 months for her just to recieve her visa......Praise the LORD!!!!!!!!!

    mike ball :D

    Hello Mikeball12001,

Congrats!!!!Good that your nightmare is over.Im also under AR :( for more than 3 weeks now and no idea when they will release my visa.Your lucky you can be with your wife soon.Good luck to your future and God bless

  21. I've been married before (via K1 Visa) but got divorced when things didn't work out, so I wasn't able to process my Adjustment of Status (I-485), so I went back to the Philippines, After 2 years, I met my fiancee and he petitioned me (K1 also). During my interview on July 28, 2006, I was asked to submit a copy of my previous I-485 (Adjustment of Status) but I don't have a copy of it so I just submitted a letter of explaination last Aug 31, 2006. I just called the US Embassy Manila and they said "It is still under review. Just wait." Is this document required for approval? Cannot they look up that information in their system? I made a request to the National Records Center for a copy of my I-485 I submitted back in 2001 from my first marriage but the doc request list waiting time is so long (1yr). My fiancee asked for the congressman's help but the request still on process. What shall I do next?

Hello.I am also under AR since my interview Oct.12,2006.I was not ask to bring any additional documents but was given 221g with a mark wait til you hear from us.Its reaally hard to accept that after all the waiting for the interview and the CO will not give you any hint on what they want to review from the documents been submitted
