Part 2 I should cross as a K-3 Visa holder?

    a) an immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number has beenapproved. (Attach a copy of the approval notice, or a relative, special immigrant juvenile orspecial immigrant military visa petition filed with this application that will give you animmediately available visa number, if approved.)?

    c) I entered as a K-1 fiancé(e) of a United States citizen whom I married within 90 days of entry,or I am the K-2 child of such a fiancé(e). (Attach a copy of the fiancé(e) petition approvalnotice and the marriage certificate). ?

  2. Well, got home from work and no "interesting" envelope on the door step. :(

So I decided to brave the £1.20 per min call to the US Embassy in London...

Thought I would just check that nothing was missing in the paperwork I had sent back...

Well to my surprise the nice lady on the phone told me that my interview was scheduled!!!!

    8th Dec 2006 at 10am!!!!!!! :D:D:D

My "packet 4" letter will turn up early next week!!!!!

Now I can move forward with booking flights and the shipping company...

  3. Hi all,

I have sent away for my police cert and now have it in my hand. Does not look like it is an important document to me!!

Is it supposed to just say in writing on the document, that i have no convictions/prosecutions? Says there is no information on me in the personal record catagory.

    Is this all i need?

    thanks in advance

    E

Could I enquire how long it took to get the certificate?

    Steven

  4. Hi,

My wife, the petitioner, is a US Citizen (got US Passport etc)... yet was born in Lumbumbashi, Zaire

to US parents. As far as she is aware, she does not have a citizenship certificate,

So how should she answer question 1.b. of the I-134?

I assume a copy of the her passport could support the citizenship claim...

    Steven

  5. OK.

    Supporting evidence for Q7:

Should my wife send me her original tax return (plus copies) or just two notarized copies?

Is it OK to put the property (real estate) my wife lives in under the 'real estate owned'?

Q11: I assume that for my wife, it will be "do not intend"?

    Steven

The copies of tax return don't need to be notarized, only the I-134 form, better yet have her order tax transcripts from the IRS, they are better than copies of the returns. http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html

You have Q11 correct, make note on the lines below Q-11 "N/A Application for K-3 visa"

If she lists her home, she will have to provide documentation as to value of home.

I should probably ask her to obtain the tax returns (prepared by her business accountant) and order a transcript. The tax return will be much quicker to get hold of than the transcript..

    Thanks

  6. Hi,

As the beneficiary of the visa, my primary means of showing support at the interview will be the

release capital from the sale of my house in the UK and intention to gain employment in the

USA. (News paper articles and emails about my likelihood of getting a job)

My wife is self-employed and her last tax returns showed an income of only ~$10,000..

Should she still do an I-134 or do I not have to worry?

    Steven

  7. Hi,

Well I got my K-3 Packet 3 from the US Embassy in London...:)

    The contents was......

    IV15 - Instructions

    Medical Examination Instructions

    Medical Questionnaire

The IV15 instructions now simply direct you to download the forms from the Embassy website.

One strange thing the IV15 has been modified by hand to replace "Fiance(K1/K2)" to read "K3"..

and they have stroked through the D-156 form... Now I expect that in fact they meant to stroke

through the 156K (which is no longer directly available from the www.state.gov website)

So I've booked the medical... Now to return all the paper work!!!

  8. We have similar timelines in that our NOA was approved on the 26th and we're both dealing with the UK. Our case hasn't been received at NVC yet. I've been calling every day since Wednesday of this week, because I have to change addresses for both my husband and myself. Ugh.

Good luck with everything and keep your timeline updated, because it's nice to see other people dealing with a similar timeline and country. My husband is struggling right now too with plans for moving, etc... it's awful.

Oh and when I call the NVC they say it can take up to 90 days for the I129F to be sent there?!?! I'm hoping they're just covering themselves and looking at the timelines of others, it shouldn't be close to that long.

    Best,

    Kristina

I'm just hoping we don't get caught in a "holidays" hold up....
