  1. $1010, if you read the directions with I-485 the $1010 includes the Biometric fee as well as covers EAD and AP fees.

NOTE: Effective July 30, 2007, if you file Form I-485 to adjust your status as a permanent resident, no additional fee is required to also file an application for employment authorization on Form I-765 and/or advance parole on Form I-131. You may file these forms concurrently. If you choose to file the I-765 and/or I-131 separately after the effective date, you must also submit a copy of your I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence of the filing of an I-485.

Also this covers renewal of those interim benefits (EAD, AP).

So it would by 1010 for a K-1. What about adding one K-2 for a six year old? +600 ?

  2. My fiance just got out of his medical, other than needing 1 more vaccine all went smoothly and quickly. (The physical part of it was only about 10 minutes!) His interview is at 1pm his time tomorrow, 7am EST. I can't believe it came so fast! It feels like just yesterday that we realized we'd have to wait two whole gigantic months til his interview... and now... it's here! :o People here told me it'd fly after NOA2 and I didn't believe them... well... wow, it flew! Guess who still hasn't secured an apartment? ME! Oops. I have to put together the chat logs/e-mails that my fiance will print tonight (hah, last-minute-Angilla, I'll never learn) and then I'll have to get to work on the apartment hunting. I just can't believe it! 14 months since we've seen each other - and since we first started planning to file the K1. Finally over. Finally! My poor fiance really started to panic about the interview last night, I calmed him down... now I'm the one nervous, and I can't show it cuz it'll make him nervous! So instead I figured I'd ramble here! And make myself late for work like I always do on VJ!

So anyway, please everyone, fingers crossed and prayers said tomorrow. Let's bring my baby home!

    Bring it home!

    Good luck!

Let us know the news which I am confident will be good.

  3. The agency said the new fees would reduce average application processing times by 20 percent by the end of September 2009.

I agree with the other posters. If it decreases the wait time I would gladly pay it. The immigration fee is one of the smallest costs in this whole process in my opinion.

If the CSC could manage the VSC times it would make many of us happier.
