I'm not quite sure where to post this... so here it is. My good friends wife and her family entered the country illegally when she was 5 (she's now 24). They were married in a courthouse ceremony last year. While she does hold a Bolivian passport, she has nothing that entitles her to legal residency. She is unable to get a drivers license and so forth. As you can imangine, this is a real impediment for a young couple trying to establish themselves. I am fairly familiar with the K1 process (almost done !!!!!), but I'm unsure as to what they need to do. Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated.
