  1.       I sent an email, but the embassy said I would have to send a notarized letter.  I never sent the notarized letter.  Our case status is now showing we are ready for the interview.  I emailed the embassy and asked if we should start over again with a new petition, and they sent me back the information about what to take to the interview, etc.  ???  I think we will try with the K 1 interview and make sure my fiance tells them that at one point, we did break up and I thought it was over, etc. but we reconciled.

Did he take the bank deposit reference page? Maybe that's the one they were referring to. In Lebanon, when you go pay the fee at the bank you need to print out the bank deposit slip that you take to them and has a reference number.

No, because before I was told that you needed to take the confirmation page.  But, this morning I read on the embassy's page about paying the visa fee, and I see that it's the bank deposit slip that the bank needs.  Thank you for your help, celie&joseph!

  3.   Hello all,

My fiance printed out what we thought was the confirmation page and took it to the bank to pay the visa fee, but the bank teller told him that it was not the correct page for the confirmation page.  Can anyone please explain how to get the confirmation page, and what does it look like?  We can't find any other page that we think could be the confirmation page.  The one my fiance printed out has a bar code in the upper right corner and has his photo, the word "Confirmation" under "Online Non-immigrant Visa Application (DS-160), a number in red ink, and then instructions under all of that.  Is that the confirmation page?  Or if not, where do we find it?

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance,

  4.          Thanks for your insights, Ontarkie.  Yes, I agree that we should definitely be transparent about the request to withdraw the petition.  We are planning to go ahead and try for the interview.  Unfortunately, my fiance threw away all of the paperwork I took to him on my last visit, since we broke up.  And like an idiot, I did not make copies 😞  So we don't have the NOA2..........bad news I know, but the embassy should have it.  Now we are scrambling to get all of our documents, again........(sigh)

  5.         I checked the status and got this message:  Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://nvc.state.gov/interview

Can you give me any more details about what problems the couple you mentioned had when they continued with their petition.  I haven't withdrawn the petition; the consulate requires a notarized letter, which I haven't sent.
  6. Hello all,

I need some advice from you experienced VJers.......My fiance (at the time) and I got to the point of scheduling his interview when he decided to end the relationship.  I won't go into why, but this is not an easy process, and we were both under a lot of stress.  We have started communicating again recently.  But after we broke up, I had sent an email to the consulate asking them to withdraw the petition, and they answered that I had to send them a notarized letter asking them to withdraw it, that an email wasn't enough.  I never did send a letter, but this was in April 2019, so I'm sure the petition is expired by now?  Does anyone know how long they are good for?  And if we decide to try again, what steps should I take?  Should I do as the embassy asked and send a notarized letter to withdraw the old petition?  Then we would have to start all over again with a new petition, I assume?  Any help or advise is appreciated.

                Thanks in advance, Virgie

He is from Egypt. But he has been turned down 4 times before. They say he didn’t have enough evidence to show he would return even tho he owns property had a good bank account and has a good job is an attorney never been arrested and has a high security clearance with his job. They profile really bad in Egypt. Male, unmarried, Muslim and between a certain age and the mgr of the non immigrant visa section admitted that the state dept. did instruct them to shy away from giving visa’s the those people in that category.

What is the age range of Egyptian Muslim unmarried males that are not being given visas?
