  1. It's said that it's never too late to introduce yourself.

    Well, here I am. ;)

As with many here, I too am engaged. Currently petitioning my fiance to come stay with me here in Washington from Quezon City, Philippines. Some may have seen me for I've been hanging around mostly in the 'K-1 Fiance(e) Visa General Discussion' section.

I've been seperated from mine for over 1 1/2 years (at time of posting) which can really make a person feel down at times. In my social group there is no body that can even relate with what I am going through.

Thus I have found this forum to be encouraging and supporting. An implication that irregardless of financial income, social group, or personal background, we all experience the same things within our journeys. The emotional strain this can take on a person, I don't think there's a word for it. But each day that passes is one more step closer to that end result that we all seek.

I find myself coming here to not only give some support for others but also as a reminder that my time is coming. Each day seems really long when seperated from that loved one. I have not boasted or posted, but I am but days away from my fiance's medical and yet a couple weeks more til her interview.

Hope to get to know more of you here within the forum. B)

    I will close with this...

You are not alone as there are many 'journeying', just passing the time away 'til that loved one comes home.

    Thanks for reading. ;)

    Happy Valentine's Day (L)

  2. My fiance has finally received packet 3. I've been worried about it but it made it 1 month away from her interview.

I've got a couple questions though...

Will the Philippine US embassy look down on the fact that my income is just barely over the requirement? I made under 20k & have no chance of getting a co-sponsor.

What mail service is faster? I still have to send my fiance final documents for her interview.

  3. For proof of having met I included:

    - emails with mention of my stay

    - photos of us together in the Philippines (most timestamped by camera

    - colored copy of my passport

    - boarding pass copies

    - a copy of the Passenger Service Charge stub I got during departure

    - copy of the engagement ring receipt (some photos show her wearing it)

I wanted to include a copy of my itinerary but that got taken away from me at the airport at time of departure so I wasn't able to get a copy.

  4. I would suggest revising it down to perhaps your initial meeting and his first visit. I say this more so because of the time factor involved. When you both first met was almost 2 years ago and not knowing when the USCIS will review your petition it would look good by having a more current meeting. But with the information you posted about his first visit after the two of you fell in love should be sufficient enough evidence that you met in person. ;)

keep it simple & best of luck on your journey. ;)
