  1. NVC letter states 1-3 months but it is taking more than that for the Juarez Embassy.  Our case completed in May 2018 and we are still waiting for the interview appt.  When you call or email NVC their response is always the same, that our case is in the queue awaiting for the appointment interview. They schedule interviews the first week of the month for the following month.  We have been waiting for 4 months and no interview letter yet which means wait for that embassy is 5-6 months :(

  2. If you did not submitted your dad's police certificate on your NVC package; Your dad will need to have the original and a copy the day of the interview.  If you  submitted one, maybe the reason has to do with the date.

The certificate from your current country of residence must be of recent date (not older than 12 months) when presented to the consular officer at the interview.  So make sure when you guys get the interview date that your police certificates are current.

  3. What do you refer with cc (Case complete at NVC?)

I received and NVC case# in March, submitted all financial docs and DS-261 and it took 3 months at NVC to send me a case complete letter back in May.  Still in the queue awaiting for an interview it has been two months already since case has been complete at NVC.

  4. Thanks for the feedback Ramada.  In 2017 it was taking only 2-3 months the most between case complete and interview according to statistics.  I guess there are more petitions this year,  The NVC letter specifies that most appointments are set within three months of NVC’s receipt I hope the wait is not 4 months wait for the interview date.  I guess question will be who received their interview date this month July for August?
