Hi everyone, I’ve not been here for a while but I wanted to ask a question on expired green card. My brother who was a green card holder for 15 years left to be with his family in El Salvador for about 3 years and never bother getting renew his green card. Can anything be done? Can he still renew his card and re-enter the USA? Can we file anything?

I need your help again. My wife has a niece living in the Philippines but born in the Federated States of Micronesia. She is in her early 20s and unmarried. Does anyone know if FSM citizens can migrate to the USA for work and the like? Do she need a visa to travel to the USA?

We have purchased a flight to the Philippines for 21 days through Cathay Pacific in 2 months but now have decided to extend it 7 more days, has anyone here  done this before and will I have to pay Cathay for the change/extension? Our travel agent tells us to just take care of this once in the Philippines. How much hassle am I into with this issue?

Can someone please advise me on this particular issue I am facing. My in-laws are in the country right now on b1-b2 tourist visa and we are thinking of taking a 5 day cruise in the gulf into Mexico. They are from the Philippines and was wondering if this was allowed? The other issue is that we are filling green card papers and they both got their 130 accepted but the visa is now expired. Can we still take this cruise?

It would be a big no-no for your mother-in-law to come as a tourist and then to help look after the new babies. This is seen as work that could be done for pay by a citizen and, as such, is illegal for her to perform. If she were to arrive at the POE and say this is what she's doing, she would quite possibly be denied entry.

Well we do intend for her to migrate here later when my wife does become a USC but I was under the understanding that you can still apply for a parent or even a sibling while just a permanent resident it just would take a lot longer. I was looking for a time frame for that process. I am not looking to do anything against the law.

What do mean by help? Financially?

No I mean help to her daughter while she is pregnant care for the new babies since we both work full time jobs.

No Visa that you or your wife can apply for her.

No she got her green card on 2/28/08 so I guess we can send her packet now, right? It will be 3 years in Feb/2011..

Was her Green Card issued before 2007/05/29? In that case (only) you can send in the N-400 prior to 2010/02/28. Otherwise, the earliest that you can send it in (or more accurately, earliest that USCIS should receive it) is 90 days prior to the 3-years-anniversary of her getting the GC.

Oh really so we can send her citizen packet as of now? and yes she has been married to me for 3 years..

She can file the N400 90 days before her 3 yr anniversary on the greencard and since she is filing under married to a USC, she has to be married for 3 years as well.

Hi all, my question is.. My wife will have 3 years of being in the US married to me in Febuary 28 and ready for US citizenship. Can we send her N 400 packet before her anniverary or do we wait till 2/28 to send it?

I would not send it until you receive an RFE (you may not) - they tend to misplace things sent without the proper case number (which the RFE gives you).

(I will take it you used the AR-11/865 as appropriate) every time you moved - right?)

Hi guys here is my problem. I remembered one thing I did NOT sent with my I-751 petition and want to see what you guys think I should do. On the petition it asks you to list the address that we have lived and since we have lived at 3 different place I would need to send a seperate page. I didn't do that because I was in a hurry to send our petition. Should I send this address page to them now on a seperate envelope now listing where we have lived before we get RFE?
