If you dont live together then you dont live together. Not really anything anyone can do about it.

You will probably get an interview. In it you can explain why your living situation is the way it is. Thats all you can do. It is possible to be approved with living apart. Its not a requirement.

Do you have proof of financial co-mingling? If he cant afford to pay rent then you are probably paying for most things for him. Thats co-mingling. Its showing shared debts or assets.

    Thank you for your reply!!
We will have to hope for the best!

  2. My spouse is still living at home, because of financial issues.
For our AOS we have a co-sponsor, so that issue is solved, but now is the thing with proof of marriage, that we should live in the same household. I can not move in with the family, and he can not move out to live with me, because he can not pay rent and all of that, and my budget is too tight to pay for two.
Is this a valid reason to not live together?
Or will the immigration office be suspicious.

I've heard people say that "just move in on paper at his house" but I know that messing with papers and lie is the worst thing you can do.

Does anyone of you have any experience with this? I would be so greatful.

    Thank you
