I got my interview exactly 1 week after my CC. I live in the US, so this was for my wife. Also, the email came between 1-2AM, I assume mid afternoon India time.

Hopefully that helps. if your CC is Jan 2, and assuming you are going to Delhi, it should be there in the next day or so. Also, it was about a month and half out from the time i got it.

Yes. I got my CC on 12/11. SD was 11/6

got CC yesterday.

SD = 11-6

CC= 12-11

Waiting on Interview now. The rep told me that New Delhi is one of the busier embassies, so the wait might be a bit longer.  Hopefully it will be coming by the end of the month.

Good news! Just checked online and my case is at NVC. Called and they said It was Just approved today. SD was 11-6. CC 12-11. Took 5 weeks and 1 day.

I am not sure. I called last friday and asked if it was under review. NVC said yes. Then I asked if they could tell me when it went into review and they gave the generic answer, " it has been under review since we received on 11-6". I will trying calling again and see if someone else is able to give me a little more detail. 

Do you just ask if it is under supervisor review? just wondering if there is anything else i need to add to make it more friendly for the NVC.

5 weeks down, starting the 6th one today.

SD 11-6, hopefully i will hear something soon. Last i read on here was someone with a SD of 11-3 got approved last week, so hopefully the CC comes this week.

sorry i just re-read this, I am not sure if I have a Supervisor review yet, I called them a couple of days ago and I am planning on calling them today after work and will ask at that point.

I am not sure what that means, but they got a CC on 11-30 and about a week later got the email for an interview on 1/2/18. They will be going to New Delhi for the interview.

I am still waiting. My Scan date was 11/6. However, I did see some folks on here that were like 11-2 scan date that got a CC a couple of days ago, so hopefully within the next week or so.

I do know they are finishing up with October. I have a family friend who had a scan date of 10/23 and got a CC on 11/30.

This question is for people apply in India, or i guess other countries where this process might have changed.

I have a quick question, I just heard that for new people applying the Green Card will be given to them before they come to the US for the first time. Is this true? It used to be that a person would come to the US and about 3-4 weeks later, the green card would come in the mail.

If someone has had experience with this, can you please provide some context and the change in the process?

not sure if this was already answered but i had a similar issue. I would advise you use Internet explorer or Edge (MS product). I first tried using Firefox and kept getting an error, then I called NVC and they told me to use Explorer.  Hope this helps.

Hello VJ community. I’m new to this and I just sent my ds261 paid my AOS and IV fees. Just waiting for them to be processed. Should be done hopefully next week. Just a quick question. The scan date that everyone keeps talking about, I called and asked the lady what my case date is and she said 10-19. Is that my scan date or will my scan date be the day they scan in the cival and supporting docs into the system? I’m asking so I can start my 11 week count down. Should I start it from 10-19 or after I fill out the ds260 and send the docs?

Hello! My first post. I also just got my case a couple of days ago. Once I filled out the ds261 on 10/24 and I called around 7ish CA time cuz I was having a hard time paying the aos fee. The lady on the phone asked me if I was using explorer and I told her no. She told me to use that and while I was there I said so I just submitted my ds261 and she said like just now and I said yes and she said hold on and after about 30 seconds she said I just pushed Your ds261 through you should be good. The next day I got a receipt to pay the iv fee. Maybe try calling them and see if they take a look at your ds261 while you’re on the phone. Maybe say like you want to make sure you have the right email or somethings. Hope that helps.
