  1. Hi Everyone!

This morning my case has been updated but the status hasn't changed.

This was the email I received the last time my case was in line for interview:

"Application Type: N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION

Your Case Status: Testing and Interview

On September 28, 2017, we started the interview scheduling process for your Form N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION, Receipt Number NBC*XXXXXXXX. We will send you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. The interview notice will have specifics about time, location and anything you will need to bring to your interview. If your application remains pending beyond our normal processing times (as shown below) please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. Please note that not every application/applicant will require an interview. In some instances, an interview is required by regulation and others an interview is requested because USCIS has determined that this is the most efficient means to determine eligibility. For a naturalization application the interview will include your taking the required English and/or Civics tests (unless exempt or waived). "

This morning the case in myUSCIS website the status says:

Case Is In Line For An Interview

How can my case be in line twice?

At first I thought it's finally schedule but I took a closer look, it's the same status.

Have anyone experienced the same situation?

    Many thanks,

April 6th is my application priority date. So basically when USCIS accepted the application. My fingerprint was begin of May. So your case seems to be 2-3 months behind mine. I called the official USCIS number 1-800-375-5283. You will get a rep that doesn't not really know anything. To get more, you need to insist talking to a Level 2 immigration officer. They will schedule a call back the same day, a few hours later. They know more about your case but if they tell you is another story :-)

So it's a matter of "Art of Persistence" that get them to talk? ;)

Congrats and thanks for the insight.

My interview is scheduled for Dec. 20th. AP was April 6th. Inline since Sept. 8th. Got the email notice on Nov 15th. I have not received the interview letter yet, but called them because I need to travel urgently. The L2 officer gave me the interview date.

    Hi!

When you say AP do you mean fingerprint? My application has been in line for interview since Sep 28th but I sent in my application end of June and had finger print beginning of July.

Also, did you call the field office to get the interview date?

    Thanks :)
