I've been dealing with complicated personal issues for a long time and I just remembered I never let you know that I got my new green card a few months ago. (approximately on 05/15/2018). I am new to this forum. 

I sent my I751 application on the last days of October. Recieved the NOA dated 11/03/2016. The Biometrics appointment was dated 11/19/2016. Moved from Santa Cruz (CA) to Irvine (CA) after that. Filed for change of address online during the 10 days after moving. Now I'm just waiting.

Reading this forum, I got the impression that I probably won't get my new card until February (since I filed in California). I have plans to travel to Argentina to see my family on the holidays. My old card expired in January 2017, so I should probably get it extended for an extra year before leaving. I'm afraid I'll have trouble getting back in the country. Has anybody left the country with the second extension (I believe it's just a stamp in your passport)?
