Once PD is current. Are thy looking Oldest DQ to schedule the interview? My Pd become current only on Nov 2019 VB but have a DQ from Sep 2018
It seems like some embassies/consulates look at the DQ date, but not sure if this is the case for Montreal.

Got Documentary Qualified today (Nov 21, 2019). Now officially in the interview waiting period. PD Sep 15, 2017.

No problem. They set up the interview within 3-4 days. But the interview date was 2 weeks away.
@Yas Pel Thanks! I really appreciate the information.

It had to wait the normal processing time. Expediting happens after NVC approved all documents.
@Yas Pel Thanks for your reply! How long did it take you to get Interview appointment after NVC approved all your documents (Documentary Qualified)?

I sent a request to NVC and I received the initial response from NVC after two days saying that they are reviewing my case for expediting. 3 days later they replied me saying that "embassy is willing to expedite when we have all fees, forms, and reviewed all documents". So who is reviewing documents at this point? NVC or Embassy?
I submitted all my documents and completed DS260 last month. NVC accepted all my documents except i864. I had to resubmit my i864 about two weeks ago because it was not scanned properly. Technically, I have to wait another month or so for it to be accepted because of the current processing times. I am in a difficult situation where I don't want to wait another month.
What is your experience with NVC expedite?
Hi, were you able to expedite the processing time at NVC or you had to wait normal processing time for them to review your documents? Thanks!

Hi @Matt2019
Yes, but I mentioned being both DQ and PD current. From what I have seen and read, if your PD is not current, the consulate does not do anything. Your PD became current after being DQ'ed right?
It is a long wait anyway...

Hi All - I submitted all the required civil documents for IR-5 for bringing parents to the U.S, including marriage termination documentation, which was previously accepted by the NVC. Now there is a second requirement for 1st MARRIAGE-FINAL DIVORCE DECREE?? Anybody know what that is? This JUST appeared on my NVC screen after coming back to the website
@meizzz something similar is happening to me. What did you end up doing? Thanks!

We uploaded the documents in June including the petitioner's divorce certificate, and received a RFE today.
The file chart status now shows incomplete, and there is a missing document. CEAC changed the file type of our divorce certificate to "marriage termination certificate" and moved it to the bottom under additional documents. They added a new document type - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE (1st MARRIAGE-FINAL DIVORCE DECREE)
Are we required to upload the marriage certificate from the first marriage? We didn't receive any message regarding this document though. The only message we received in the "View message" section was about our tax return. Please help!! Thank you!
@Dreamer97 exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday. What did you end up doing? Thanks!

Hi @fcabrales, I didn't quite get the timeline infomation on your screenshot. Do you have cc or you're still waiting?
Hi @PrinsesaVii NVC Case Received (Sep 18,) is when NVC received my case from USCIS after approval. Then, I got welcome letter from NVC on Oct 15 and submitted all my documents yesterday (Oct 21). Now I have to wait for Case Completed.

Hello, I am glad to see this group as it is very difficult to find information for F2A-Montreal Consulate. It would be great if we could all update the timeline in our profile so it is easier to see the information for everyone.

Ha! So, my husband and I aren't the only ones dealing with this issue! We are going to try and import his Elantra. Trying to get the certificate of compliance in the first place was extremely difficult because nobody from Hyundai corporate knew what we were talking about. So, after getting passed around for a couple weeks, we finally got a letter that his vehicle meets all the EPA/DOT requirements... but it doesn't meat the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) requirements. Only solution for us is to install an after market system. So, guess where he is this morning? He is in Whitby, at the dealer, getting his mechanic to install an aftermarket system.
I'm glad to hear this was successful for you, Orit. I'll keep you posted on how we do when we try and import his car (interview is Jan 14). We'll be coming over the 1000 island bridge. Stay tuned!
Hi Invisigoth,
I am in the same situation as you are. I want to import an Elantra without TPMS and want to know if an after-market TPMS would work.
I'd appreciate if you can provide an update on this.

Hi Guys, this is the timeline for my I-130 application under the F2A category (spouse of LPR):
Received Chicago lockbox: September 15, 2017
NOA1 via email: September 19, 2017. Transferred to California Service Center.
NOA in physical mail: September 26, 2017

I expedited my case and had the interview in December, 2019. Landed on the same month.
