Francis has been Approved at the Manila Embassy she said everything went good and they asked a few questions . One we never really discussed and that question was how much was my rent for my Apartment

I sent out my Financial Statement for my wifes interview today without the 2006 w2 form basically because I haven't received it yet and I can't wait for it as our interview is only 9 days from now , If I sent the 2004 , and 2005 w2s will this be sufficient? or will I need to send the 2006 also at a later time . I included a 134 for my brother also in case a Co sponsor would be needed he had his 2006 W2

here is a question for you all I was laid off in 2006 for 5 months , so my income for 2006 was low , only 18000 my income for 2007 will be about 30000 should I write a statement explaining why my income for 2006 is so low or not? I won't have my w2s for 2006 before the interview so won't know the exact amount of income . Also I just started my current job the 2nd of Jan will this have any effect ?
Mark
Your timeline says your interview is 12 Feb, You should have your w-2s by 31 Jan.
I should of said that I won't have them by the time I send the information which I am sending the 26th but even if I have them your reply still doesn't answer the question

Whereas a small one bedroom apartment here is about $300/month.
*shrugs*
However, keep in mind that these ARE the POVERTY guidelines. If you make that little, you're probably on public assistance. Or you live in a shack in the hills.
Not everyone can have a good paying job but yet we work our butts off. So for your information some of us don't make that much and i do not receieve public assistance of no sort nor do i live in a damn shack in the hills I live in a very nice house with 5 bedrooms in the city. So you see not all of us are what you mark us as. I work hard for a living to support my kids and reading some of these postings really upsets me that there are people out there that think just because u don't make the poverty guidelines that your a no good person and live off the government, NOT!!!!!!!!!. OPEN YOUR EYES NOT ALL OF US ARE LIKE THAT SORRY!
You might want to chill out a bit.....I'm one of the ones who DOESN'T have a problem with people who make very little....me being one of them. That reply was in reference to people who were saying that an apartment in their area is $700+/month at a minimum. If a person is making the poverty level income and lives in an area where rent is $700/month at the lowest, then they HAVE to be getting some kind of assistance, live in the boonies, or have several kids. The 'several kids' increases the level at which your income is considered poverty level, allowing a person to afford rent on that apartment.
I don't have a high-paying job. I work my ####### off. I receive "assistance" in that I inherited my house. Read my other post in this topic. I used to make $5000/year. I KNOW about being poor.
I appologize, There are just so many people that are saying that if you don't make that guideline there is no way my husband will be coming over here and my husband means everything to me and my family. So again I am sorry!
the Gov't Guidlines in my opinion are another way to make the better off people feel more important if I went by the guidelines I would be considered quite wealthy here in Western Wisconsin where most jbs start out at $6.50 an hour

Thanks :)
Do you need to make 125% for Manila on the I-134 or is 100% fine?

When the Counsular looks at income level do they take in account your local pay scale and cost of living? I Live in Western Wisconsin and the average income here for a typical General laborer is about $17000 you can make more if you are a Dr, police officer etc. The cost of living is cheap here also for example I can get a 3 Bdrm apt for about $375 a month and my food bill usually runs around $50 a week thanks for any info

Wondering if anyone else has dealt with this situation . My Gross earnings for this year are below the poverty level for a family of four thats counting me and my two kids and my wife from the Philippines . If I i use a Co sponsor I was told the embassy in Manila will frown on this and more then likely deny us a K-3 I am wondring if anyone who doesn't make the poverty level and used a Co sponsor has received a K-3 from the Embassy in Manila ? thanks in advance

Quick Question my Brother is going to be a Co sponsor for us , the question is this I have two Children from a previous marriage that live with me . Would he have to count them when figuring the 125% of poverty level or does he just count my wife . The kids natural mother is still alive so if anything happened to me they would go to her thanks

p.s hope this is worded so it is easily understood

Mark,
What is "the I-130 Support form" ?
Yodrak
If you don't want to send in the fee for the I-130 Support form is that ok ? We are going for K-3 instead of CR-1 And I am thinking it would be a waste of money to send the fee as it is a non refundable feeMark
the I130 support Form is I864 the fee is $70 hope that answers your Question

There seems to be a lot more Philopino immigrants (women) than those from other Asian countries....
Are they more attractive to American mem or what??
Very curious
I chose my wife cause I was sick of American woman and wanted something different I guess you could say with Family Values Family is very important in the Philippines and they don't believe in Divorce in fact they can't get divorced in the Philippines there is not the choice of getting Divorced and It makes them look bad to thier familys

I just got laid off from my job Suppose to get called back in a month or two , I have a co sponsor but just wondering if we have an interview before I get called back how much will this hurt our case?
Mark
well. start searching for a new job on careerbuilders.com and land something that will pay some
decent money. since you have a co sponser that is fine. but, you still need a job to take care of
yourself and your spouse. start applying for those unemployment benifits and hop back on track..
good luck!
well for this area my job pays about top rate just going through a slow time right now
