    Subject: I-130 for Maria Ball

    Date: Thu, 2 Nov 2006 13:01:30 -0500

    Mr. Ball,

The following information was received this morning from the Consular Section, U.S. Embassy, Manila regarding the immigrant visa application of your wife, Mrs. Maria Ball.

    Control No: 26583

    Reference: BALL, Maria Jesusa Valer

    Date: November 2, 2006

This is in reply to your inquiry of October 24, 2006, regarding the visa concerns of your constituent, Fred Ball.

The applicant was refused a visa on August 29, 2006, under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), as amended, pending verification by the Philippine central registry of the applicant's civil status.

We received the verification from the Philippine Government and have completed our review of the case. On October 25, we sent a call-in letter asking the applicant to come to the Embassy's Immigrant Visa Unit (Windows 17 to 20) on any workday (except Friday), from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and submit an updated Philippine police (NBI) clearance, as the one we have on file had expired.

  3. hello mikeball12001,

GOD BLESS YOU BOTH AND GOODLUCK!

    jazzy

well the embassy at random just pick cases to put in AR,even if all documents are correct and interview goes well they at random just pick people for AR, so they can tell there boss they are doing there job....lol I have heard they have a quota to meet daily, but i don't know how true that is. mikeball

  4. I am pretty much done with my papers here in USA and soon it will be up to my wife in the Philippines to complete her biometrics and interview.

We are adopting a child in Manila as well and I have just sent the filled out864 and all fees have been paid, Can anyone give me an estimate of time left till we will have our interview?

We are also adopting a child in Manila and i am told I need to attend one adoption hearing per the court and I cannont afford two trips, I want to also attend the visa interview and fly home with my wife.

So if anyone can give me a rough guess how long it takes from 864 to interview in manila I would really appreciate it. I cannot get even a rough guess for interview date from Dept of State or USCIS

the NVC will send your petition over to the embassy in manila where, they will be the ones to schedule interview, from the time we submitted 864 it took us 9 months

but you time could lesss than that , who really knows for sure , I pray for less time. mike ball :help:

  5. Ater 7 week in administrative review hell, my wife's visa was finnally approved at the us embassy manila,it was in admin review for approx. 7 weeks from the date of the interview,we waited 17 months just for the interview so from start to finish it took 19 months for her just to recieve her visa......Praise the LORD!!!!!!!!!

    mike ball :D

  6. Today I guess has just put me down in the dumps. I opened a letter from my senator of which had emailed the US Embassy in Manila for me. I read the correspondence from a person at the Embassy and it say's this regarding the interview " We received the case on September 18 from NVC and queued the case for scheduling of the visa appointment. Although we cannot assign the interview date at this time, it appears likely that the applicant will be scheduled for interview before February 2007." WHAT!

I am not believing this! People from August approvals are getting November and December interviews! What is up with this? I was kind of hoping she would be here in December or at least by January. This freaking letter nips that! What happened to the chart I see that says average of 82 days? Is it just totally wrong or this person over estimating?

I would really appreciate feedback. I don't have the heart to tell Rosemarie what I read here today in this email.

    Thanks,

Glen ,just hope after your interview it is not put into admin review on top of the waiting you probably all ready have done we are still waiting for my wife visa as well as she has had her interview all ready and we been waiing for this visa to come out of review, is emotinal torture

  7. My wife had her interview at the U.S. Embassy Manila, Philippines on August 29th,2006.after her interview, they told her it would need further review,it has been 2 months now since she interviewed and still no word from the embassy, can anyone advise what is taking place, this is emotional torture, you would think thwy tell you right away that your approved or denied, has anyone else been through this mike ball mikeball12001@yahoo.com

  8. Hi guys,

Mari and I have come up with a plan for handling the interview and travel back from Manila to the USA and I would appreciate any information on whether it is a reasonable one.

We are quite confident that we will be approved at the interview. I know nothing is 100% certain but we have a very simple case and Mari and I are very careful and thorough in preparing the required information.

Our plan is that I will meet her in Davao a few dasy before the interview, help her finish packing for the big move, fly to Manila together with all her stuff and check in at a hotel, go to the interview together, remain in Manila, a few days later go to the embassy to pick up the Visa, and then fly to the USA together. So we would book our flight to the USA for five to seven days after the interview date.

Are you aware of anyone who has done this or planning to do this? Is this plan just too risky?

    Thanks!!!! :star::help::star:

yes it is they will not let you pick up visa at the embassy they always ship it out you can however give them the adress of the hotel where your staying and they will deliver there
  9. Hello Everyone,

Is anyone else having trouble connecting to the Visa Interview website? Someone gave me the link over a week ago and I had no problem. Now, when I click the same link it says "cannot find server?" I tried several times yesterday and again today.

I am a Florida resident, so I have contacted noth state senators here via email, fax and phone. I have had no reply from any of them! My mother is very ill and it appears that this could possibly be her last holiday. My Mother would love to spend the holidays with me and my wife also. I was going to ask for some consideration due to these facts in hope that they might expedite he process. It would seem to me that someone on a State senators staff could pick up a phone and call me or at least reply by email. Manila has had our case and my wife received a letter over a month ago from the Embassy. We have yet to receive anything else from them. We are anxious to know the interview date.

Would it help to call the US Embassy in Manila? If so, is it better to have my wife call or myself?

    Thanks for listening

it probably won't do much good to call embassy , the operators there just have pat answers, my wife has been waiting for her visa for over two months as she had her interview on august 29th, and we have called the embassy , and they just said to wait, there is no one you can talk to other than the operator, we contacted my congressman,we'll see if that helps anything at all.....very very good luck in your endeavors mike ball (mikeball12001@yahoo.com)

  10. For the Manila embassy, can anyone tell me based on his or her experience how soon after receipt of the K1 papers from the NVC the embassy turns around with a designated interview date? Seems like now I can check the interview date via the net at the embassy website.

well after my wife was documentarily qualified and the petition was sent to manila , she was qualified on jan 28th 2006 and had her interview on august 29th 2006, but it vary'ssometimes less but usually no more than 5 months from the time she is qualified mike ball ( mikeball12001@yahoo.com)

  11. Quick question is that if my fiancee chooses to get her vaccinations done there in the PI, will the cost be covered in the $95 dollar fee for the medical exam or is it a separate fee? If a separate fee, anyone can provide some figures? we are trying to determine how much we should set aside for all of the fees.

    Aloha.

    CJ

that does not include vaccinations they are separate, the fees vry from docto to doctor but about 5000 pesos should be enough to cover all needed vacinatiions

  12. Is anyone else waiting this long for their visas to get approved after the interview date? Looks like most people get theirs in about 2-4 weeks. I don't understand why it's taking so long and it's making us miserable. When I call the USE they just tell me over and over again that the status is: it's been submitted to the consular officer for review. They are not requesting add'l docs or a 2nd interview. I talked to them for 40 minutes last week and they literally just repeated themselves the whole time from the manual of answers they are given.

Finally after 40 minutes they told me I could send a fax asking for a status inquiry and it would be given to the consulate officer so I took down the info and sent the fax last Thursday. No reply yet, but I'll wait a couple more days before I decide what to do next.

Anyone else in this situation? If so, what are you doing about it?

    Thanks.

yes we too have been waiting for 6 weeks now after the interview ,still awaiting word from the embassy in manila we called just like you and got same answer so i email my congressman mike ball mikeball12001@yahoo.com

  13. my wife had her interview on august 29th,2006, they told her it would need further review, as of this date we have not heard anything, we called the embassy , but they said just to wait, that the consular needs to review the paperwork, can anyone give us a time frame on how long we will have to wait you can respond to my email aress mikeball12001@yahoo.com thanks mike ball

There no way to know for sure how long. Could be months or even years in extreme cases. Hope you hear something soon.

well i was told the immediate relatives shouldn't have to wait that long,i know she is having administravtive review
