Just wanted to share my experience with a bit of details about Buffalo ASC.
 
It seems my biometric experience is different than what Bubblebee's experience (see post here).
 
This is my biometric experience of the Buffalo Application Support Center for the N-400 application on 01/10/17.
 
Parked my car in parking garage on the corner of Delaware and West Chippewa St at 8:20 am. I could have park on the street and use the parking meter but I didn't know how long I will be in the Buffalo ACS so I opted to use the parking garage to have one less thing on my mind.
 
There was a cafe in the Westin hotel attached to the garage, Jake's Cafe so I grab a quick bite for breakfast (highly recommended). Waited until 8:45 am at the cafe and then a quick walk up to the Buffalo ASC office (less than a minute).
 
Handed in my appointment letter and Green Card to the security guard, asked me the standard security questions (weapon, liquid, food, knife, or guns) which I didn't have any, and walked through the metal detector portal. Once I was cleared, both letter and GC was given back to me and was told to sit down in any seat in the main lobby area until the fingerprint announcement.  In the main lobby area, there are four windows, one for check-in to pick up a ticket and three regular sitting area where an Immigration Office can sit behind the glass. I didn't have to get a ticket or fill out any forms at this point.
 
Then at 9:00 am, a person came out to the lobby and announced that anybody who is in the lobby for the fingerprint appointment, please follow into another smaller lobby.  Around 12 people (including myself as the 5th person) had to line up to meet another officer inside the smaller lobby.  The officer reviewed my appointment letter and GC, stamped the bottom with a biometrics processing stamp, and asked me to take any seat in the smaller lobby. The officer kept both stamped letter and GC in a pile with others before me.
 
Shortly after that, an officer began calling applicants in order until my named was called.  I followed the officer to a processing station (similar to a hospital intake area) and sat down for the third time. I waited for less than a minute while the officer scanned the barcode on the appointment letter and inputted some information in the computer. The officer asked me to stand up next to the fingerprinting scanning machine and took control of my hands to start the fingerprint process. She scanned all of my fingers and both thumbs and asked me to take a seat (which becomes my fourth sit down). Then I had my mugshot picture taken. The officer filled out the information in the biometrics processing stamp at the bottom of my appointment letter, gave both appointment letter and GC back to me, and gave me a study material for the civic test. I was free to go.
I did not have to fill out any forms or worksheet throughout the whole process, and I was back in my car at 9:38 am. So just an hour overall. 
 
Now let the waiting began!
