When he enters at POE, the CBP officer will place a stamp in his passport, next to the actual visa, which acts as his temporary Green Card for 12 months. His actual card will arrive between 1 month and 6 months after entering, as long as the $220 GC fee has been paid . The stamped passport is used for any overseas travel and for employment verification until the actual card arrives. Travel does not need to be for an emergency reason.

Where do you pay the GC Fee? Can you pau the GC fee there upon entry?

My mom will continue with her interview. Things are complicated as I am going to be deploying in a couple of months for half a year and won't be back until next year. I am sure we are not supposed to let the medical result nor the interview/visa to expire. My fist plan was to pick them up at the same time, but things have changed. I guess my dad will be flying by himself.

    Good Luck to us😀

They saw it through her eye tests. Somehow there's something she couldn't see even with a glasses, they then asked her if she ever had a stroke before. She was asked for her maintenance medication and was told to come back after getting some medical certificate from a Neurologist. She came back with it after couple days and the doctor cleared her after seeing the paperwork that she brought. She's now ready for her interview on the 30th. Sadly my father still has to do some examination. I thought he was only going back get the final result, but he was told that they saw something inside his lungs and have to do the 3 day examination. I'm Happy and sad at the same time.

Same happened to my parents. My dad has to go to do the spotum test. While my mom got cleared. Is your mom going to wait for your dad to be cleared? Or she will go on with her interview without your dad?

Hi guys, any advice will be appreciated. It's been 5 months and 14 days since i130 was received by uscis for both parents and no news yet. Can someone say something? I'm a bit worried and anxious, is that the usual length of wait? Did anyone get approval before 5 months?

Secondly, my mother intends adopting an orphan. How can the orphan get a green card too with my mother when i130 gets approved? The little girl is about 6 and living with her in Africa presently. Thanks a lot.

I had my approval letter for both my parents in 5months time. Now waiting for NVC
