  1. My husband finally got his tracking number on Dec. 26th but I am in Mexico and I didn't have Wi-Fi.

His interview was on Nov. 27th.

He will be leaving to CDJ tomorrow and then heading back home.

I won't be heading back home with him since my vacation is not over, yet.

I am glad he finally will be able to get his visa. It has really been a long journey.

  2. This brings me hope!

My husbands interview was on Nov. 27th.

His status has been on Ready since his interview.

My kids and I are waiting with him in Mexico. We had already planned our vacation 6 months ago.

We have only been here for a week but he is going on 5 weeks since before his interview.

My husband decided to leave CDJ after the third week and I am glad he did. (He went to his home state)

This wait is taking forever, but At least we are together.

Hopefully everyone who is still waiting gets issued before Christmas!

Depends on where you stay at. I am a guesthouse the price is really good for everything that comes included.

My husband is the breadwinner in our household. So it is tough when money is going out but not coming in. We did not plan on him being gone so long.

I also had plans to have our vacation with our kids in Mexico since June.

Not much of a vacation now with this added stress.

Juarez was having problems where wait times doubled or tripled cause of their computer system, there's a thread on it, maybe something similar here, but it was be consulate/embassy specific.

My husband had his interview date on Nov. 27th and got approved.

He is still in Mexico waiting for his passport.

He was also told that they were having trouble printing visas.

Do you happen to know what the thread is called?

    That's maddening !!

    It is.

My husband is getting very discouraged. Especially after that person got his passport before he did.

He has decided to go to his home state and wait there. At least he won't have to pay to stay there and be confined to a room :)

Plus he hasn't seen his siblings in 17 years. So that will be quite the reunion.

@Laura2017Your husband got his Mexico police record (certificado de no antecedentes penales)  in Ciudad Juarez?  He didn't have to travel to his home state? Would you happen to know if a picture of him was taken during his request for police record? Thank you for your help in advance.

Yes a picture was taken of him during the request.

And he got it there in CDJ.

  7. My husband said you need your birth certificate and ID like; credential de elector, matricula consular, or passport.

Also a proof of address their in CDJ. It does not have to be under your name.

You have to pay $85 pesos and they give it to you the same

  8. So for anyone who know my husband's situation. He has been in CDJ for 2 weeks waiting for his passport.

He has not gotten any updates.

He just went to ask at an information window at the consulate and they told him it is taking 3 weeks not 1-2 weeks like they said. But there is people he knows who had their appointment after he did and they got it 2 days later.

    We shall keep on waiting.

My interview was in Cairo-Egypt last Tuesday December 3 and the counselor gave me the congratulation letter and told me that I can get my visa after 2 weeks.

It's now 8 days and my visa status still ready (for interview). Is it normal after 8 days?

Not sure if it is normal but my husband is in the same situation. He had his interview last Monday. He had his interview in Mexico.

Our attorney has called the information number for the consulate and they say they have not received any updates from the consulate. They did email them yesterday asking for a update. They said it usually takes a day to get an answer back.

I thought they might be backed up but my husband was staying with a couple who had their interview Friday and they got their passport yesterday.

Our attorney says some time it is the officer who interviews you who takes their sweet time processing case.

Oh yes you are correct. WOW that is a really long time to wait. I bet its because of the month it fell on. As you can see the consulate was very behind. I hope he gets it this week

Thanks! I hope so, too. My kids and I are leaving on vacation to Mexico on Sunday. We want to see him before we leave. We are not going anywhere near CDJ.

We are a bit stressed about all this.
