If you are living in the US and did NOT plan to get married and mmigrate when you entered, you can file to Adjust Status from within the US, (without leaving) based on the fact that you are married to a US Citizen (this is perfectly legit and legal).
You DO NOT need to leave and apply for a VISA from your home country (though many people will tell you either should or have to).
It's kind of a touchy topic.
Probably it would be a good idea to consult a lawyer.

I was just commenting to my husband earlier that it's amazing that shredded cheese is the same price per ounce as regular cheese is!
I will sneak in here though that I really, really, really would like a Tim Horton's Coffee.
I might drive to R.I., where I hear they have one in the near future just for that. It's been too long.

We are filing an I-485 and concurrently, I am uncertain if we need to mail the application to Chicago or to the Vermont SC (we live in Massachusetts).

I think you would put "NONE" in the space asking for the VISA #.
