  1. Regarding NVC, we just got a case number and are awaiting the welcome letter. I see timelines with people filling out and sending packages at different times and different dates - dept. of state website says that you have to wait for the agent selection and AOS bill to process before you have access to the other forms - that things are sequential and it takes ~4 months to get through. I see timelines where things look considerably quicker. Am I missing something? Can I submit all the info right away? We're prepared, we've got the documents ready to go, what's our best case scenario here? Anyone have experience getting through NVC mad quick? Shortcuts welcome.

I was looking at the "James" shortcuts on the forum and it looks like they're all set up for paper filing. If your answer is from experience please let me know when you filed and what your situation was.

    Thanks guys!

  2. Hello everyone,

What are the odds I have an RFE coming (my online status is unchanged, I'm just worried) given that I see Potomac SC NOA1 dates of April getting approvals and ours (3/20) is still waiting?  How much variability is there normally between different NOA1 dates getting approved at the same SC? I obviously see that there are some NOA1 dates before mine still unapproved  but is that just people not updating their timelines?

As additional background info, I updated my address in July and I was NOT transferred. I originally submitted in February but we had the papers returned because I goofed up the date on the check, so the 3/20 date is our actual NOA1 date, as of the second submission after correcting the check on our I-797.

Also, how does one find out if they are subject to an RFE - does it appear online or does one only see it in the physical mail? Any way to get prepared ahead of time?

Thanks in advance for all the help :)
