  1. my income is 5 times more than the minimum required that is 5 times more than 125% minimum required for 2 member household. Do i need to still show all of my bank statements for past 12 months? do i still need to provide my list of stocks, bonds, and 401k?

    please help!

My husband did not include all his bank accounts, statement of assets/properties, certificate of stocks, etc... when he filed my petition. Just provide the basic and required documents that is being ask from you. If you think that your salary is more than enough the financial cap, then there's no need to include that.

    Goodluck.

    All the best,

    thanks

  2. Deport all illegal immigrants to their country, and let thei government shoulder the welfare of their countrymen. Definitely, NO to the proposed amnesty.

I am also proposing that Congress shall review this "jus soli" or the "right of soil" when it comes to citizenship. There must be some restrictions, as most of the illegal immigrants are engaged to a massive reproduction of babies.

If the US government is really serious in minimizing, if not totally eradicating illegal immigration, therefore they must secure the border, start the massive (legitimate) arrest and deportation.

  3. I am applying for the Finance Visa and was wondering can anyone tell me if the G-325A form is one of the forms needed to be completed in this process and if so do we both have to complete the form or just the US Citizen?

    Thank you for any help

BOTH the petitioner and the beneficiary shall fill-up and file G-325A.

  4. I saw someone mention that they were going to include evidence of a valid marriage in their AOS packet, is it necessary? How many people have done this, and if not, did it impact the approval?

I sort of thought that type of stuff would be addressed in an interview.

    Gracias!

A photocopy of my marriage certificate is enough to prove that i have a legitimate marriage. If you'll see my timeline, my I-485 was processed accordingly. I had completed biometrics within a month, and my case was transferred to CSC. i dont know wht's next.....maybe an interview or a welcome notice.

  5. Oakwell...

I don't have any answers, just a questions. Not that it's of any consequence, but I'm sure readers (including myself) are wondering why your friend has not filed for AOS seven months out, especially when I'm sure they were informed of what was required. What's their story... are they procrastinators, they had other things to do, they hate the bureaucratic nonsense, they ran out of money, they didn't feel like it, they like the extra drama, planned on going back to the beneficiary's country to live and change their minds, they hate filling out forms, they thought the beneficiary would automatically receive citizenship, they didn't care, they wanted to wait to test the knowledge of VJ members, they didn't know, or what? Give us the juicy details!

    Cheers!!!

    Sheriff Uling

p.s. - At least they married within 90 days, I've read where folks have filed after 90 days with no repercussions, but not after the visa expired. I'm sure there are a few seasoned VJers that can provide some guidance.

Not sure why Sherrif, Mira didn't give me that part. As a guess, I would say procrastinators. I will ask tomorrow, they are coming to dinner then let you know the "JUICY" details. hehehe!! Thanks to all for your prompt responses.

    Cliff.

My K1 visa expired last December 20, 2006 and I just filed my I-485 last March 2007. I had my biometrics last March 30, and my case was already transferred to CSC last April 3, and I am now waiting for an interview and/or GC.

    goodluck.

  6. As long as they get married before the lapse of 90 days from the date of arrival here in US, she can file AOS anytime she wants, even if the I-94 and visa hadd already expired.

With regads to SSN, it vary from state to state.

Mira and I have a friend who came to the US on a K1 on September 5th 2006. She married her fiance in November 2006. They have not filed AOS and just recently applied for her SSN. She was told her I-94 had expired along with her visa and she could not apply for a SSN. Can someone tell me what the implications of not filing AOS yet after 7 months in US, can they still file her AOS application? and the next steps they need to take. Any help will be greatly appreciated. :help:
  7. We have submitted our AOS and EAD forms to the chicago lockbox facility. Included with these documents were the one page vaccination worksheet since my fiancee did not received all of her shots. Well we went to see our local civil surgeon to complete her vaccination shot requirements. The doc handed us a sealed envelope. Now should we submit this sealed envelope to the chicago office or can we take this to our AOS interview? It think I saw somewhere it depends on the local USCIS office. I don't know yet but I am sure there should be one here in Honolulu. Anyway i just want to know if i can bring it with me during my fiancee AOS interview? The second question is where do I go to register at the USCIS so that I can check on the status of approval of our AOS and EAD? your help will be greatly appreciated. Aloha.
  8. OK, no alluding here.

My fiancé just came in 10/1 through JFK and got his work permit. Dont' know if this is ending as Devilette suggests. I googled it but didn't find anything.

(question: when giving opinions or possible info , why would one "allude"?)

My POE was JFK too, Sept 20, 2006 but my I-194 has no stamp of that "temporary work permit"...just the duration of how long i have to stay here in the US.

Did ur fiance asked the immigration office for that stamp or it is customary on their part to put a stamp "temporary work permit" on what part of your VISA/Passport or I-94????

Hi guys!!! I just arrived in USA throught JFK and I got my permission to work over there! Actually they stamped my I-94. That was great!!!

    Hi,

What do they stamp and/or write on your I-94? Mine is just the rubber stap oblong size of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection, the word ADMITTED NYC, Sept 20, 2006 Class is K1 and untill Dec 19, 2006. So, for me this is just the duration of how long I am allowed to stay here, no particular indication that I am allowed to work........ I wonder what they wrote or stamp on your I-94????

    Please let me know. Thanks.

  9. Hi,

I just came in through JFK 3 weeks ago and I did get my temporary work permit. I would try to get a flight over JFK and than you will have a good change.

    Good luck.

    Hi Milka,

Did u asked the immigration officer to stamp ur I-94 that authorization to work? My POE is JFK too, last Sept 20, and there's no temporary working permit on my passport/I-94. Would I still be able to let them put a stamp on it? I have a job call in LabCorp, & i do really want the job. Thank you.

  10. DA,

Well, immigration into the US was a breeze. Some very friendly officials at JFK were really helpful AND they wrote 'employment authorized' on my I-94!

So, when I get my SSN through in three weeks' or so (?), I will then be able to work until the 90-day I-94 expires.

Is this true, even if we get married three weeks after my arrival (which is what we're doing)? Does the I-94 'expire' when we get married - which I presume would make my temporary EAD invalid - or does it last until the 90 days are up?

Obviously, I don't want to be working when I'm not authorized to do so, so any advice would be most welcome.

    Mark

    Hi,

JFK is my POE too. Im here in NJ under K1 Visa. I already have a job call in LabCorp, but i am not sure if I am authprized to work. My I-94 reflects only the duration of how long I am allowed to stay in the US.

Would it be possible to go back to JFK and ask the immigration to write the same thing in my I-94?

Do I have to file EAD ahead of AOS? (am not yet married).....

    Thank you.
