Thank you to everyone that posted, I will take all of the advice into consideration and speak to those suggested.
I also welcome any more advice from those who have even been through the Vietnam process as well. Thank you!

Hello.
I am new here and unsure if this is the right place to post (lol), but I've read several stories and topics and there are a few things I was wondering and any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am a US citizen who is wanting to marry my Vietnamese fiance.
I have known my fiance for almost 6 years (since 2011) and we met online. We started dating in 2015 and got engaged January 14 of this year.
I want to be well prepared, and will do whatever is necessary (even if it takes a long time) to make sure our K1 process goes smoothly. My fiance and I have only met in person once for a week. I was accompanied by my mother and sister to meet him and his family. I recently graduated from college in April, and currently still looking for employment. I am well aware that I need to make well above poverty line to be considered and so thus know it will take me time to file so that I am not denied for financial circumstances.
For those that have passed the interview, I was just curious if how many times you visit your fiance/fiancee plays a big role so that I understand if I need to return a few more times.
Also, we had an engagement party in VN, however, it was a bit more modern as in my fiance's family asked for agreement to the marriage and my mother agreed and we went to a restaurant as our 'engagement party' in formal attire. I have seen a lot of people having the traditional one though, and if that is better to do then we can plan to do so.
Sorry, I am just trying to wrap my head around everything and do things right before we do anything else.
Thank you.

From what I have seen or researched its a 50/50 chance.. but I have heard parents as co-sponsors look better?
I too would like to know if anyone used co-sponsor and if it was acceptable at the HCM consulate since I would like to use my mother.
