I’m pretty sure that if your previous tax transcripts do not reflect your current financial situation, you need to ask your employer for a letter verifying your position, current status and yearly salary and benefits. That should cover the financials.

As far as how far back they go on tax transcripts, it really depends on the embassy. We had 3 years at our interview and they only kept last year’s.

I had my Fiance request an updated letter too.. stating a regular position yearly salary etc.. thanks..

  2. Any sharing of information and experience is very much appreciated.

Recently just got approved (NOA2) and currently working on required documents needed for the embassy interview which will be in Manila Philippines.

Regarding the Affidavit of support. My Fiance just started to work full time in 2016, and just fulfilled the 125% income requirement for a household of 2 for his 2017 tax return. He was just a little above the limit though. However, he got a substantial raise late last year and this year which would put his yearly income to $30k. Would this be enough? Ive heard they look for atleast 3 years worth of tax returns, my F served as a Peace Corps volunteer until 2015 hence he didnt need to file taxes then and in 2016 he didnt meet the poverty guideline. Im thinking of preparing paystubs and the letter to support the 2015 service. Would all this be enough? Also does it matter how much we declare regarding the current account balance/money in the bank part?

Your input would be very helpful.

    Thank you.
