Hi 

I have had my green card interview today 

so IO was really nice and cool

but my husband (USC) got confused a bit about my mom name and date when we met(he is bad with dates)

i felt like they doubted it 

then we showed out tax returns and joint account  details ,we didnt have any lease or other evidences

asked about party we said we didnt have any yet cz my parents couldnt come so we decided  to have party in our homeland only with them by last of this year,

showed few pics 

at end he gave us paper with decision to be made paper but like he  also explained that he always gives delay to every decision coz he require more time to review file

and explianed that "you will either get green card approval and card and then he explained whole process of green card and citizenship in detail OR he said if you got disapproval it would mean we may require more documents from you which i think we wont be needing"

now i m really nervous and woried but 

did anyone else have had such experince? 

and how long it takes for decision to be made in such cases?

our marraige  is all real no illegal thing no criminal record or anything its all genuine and real should i be worried?

is this usual?

So we did not have any wedding reception and all coz we were actually planning to have in in our homeland once i m able to travel

so in interview if they ask about wedding and reception what should i say 

should i tell them as it is can they susupect??

or should i say  we didn’t so it coz we just saving money for our own trip or dream

actually  now as my surname is changed after marraige and so in my travel document it will be new surname  ans on my passport it is the the old one so 

will there be ant problem travelling?

whats the procedure of changing it ? does anyone know that can we change surname on passport on basis of travel document?

You need to contact USCIS and ask them. I am not familiar with the procedure, I just know that most likely you're going to have an issue with having your Green Card in your maiden name and then use a married name on everything else.

oh so its not always that we get interview....which ppl gets interview and which dont?

I applied for AOS and got my fingerprint interview on 27 march...how long it takes for green card interview after fingerprints????

I  have applied for AOS and now for surname change do i notify immigration ppl or they automatically will do it??while applying for AOS form i have written my name as on passpory

Is there is any format specifications for printing out chats for preeof?????

One more thing ..my passport has  my surname on it but my birth certificate don't..coz at that time when i ws born we didn't use surnames ..u think tht be issue??

my fiance got letter froM NVC that they have send case to US embassy in my country (india) so do I Fill the DS 160 form now or wait till US embassy gives me instructions to do so?????
