I am filing the i129f from abroad and am currently a student and don't make enough money to sponsor my fiancé for the i134. My mother is willing to be our cosponsor, however, I was wondering if he currently works as an independent contractor remotely for a US company could he claim himself? He makes around $17,000/year and I'm pretty sure that there would be no issue with him keeping this job when we are in the US as well.
I134 - beneficiary IT independent contractor- can he claim himself?

Hey everyone,
I am filing the i129f from abroad and am currently a student and don't make enough money to sponsor my fiancé for the i134. My mother is willing to be our cosponsor, however, I was wondering if he currently works as an independent contractor remotely for a US company could he claim himself? He makes around $17,000/year and I'm pretty sure that there would be no issue with him keeping this job when we are in the US as well.
Thanks!
