I submitted i130 for my mother in June 2022 and my father in July 2023. Currently my mom I130 is just showing "your case is taking longer....." status while my dad I130 shows "4 months". Based on others' experience, this may mean their case can be approved with some months apart. So I am wondering if my dad can join my mom as "derivative beneficiary" when her I130 is approved. Has anyone tried it before? I would love to hear your experience.

Hello, can you share your experience with us embassy in yangon? I received NVC letter and the case status online says the case is ready for interview.

Do I wait until the embassy contact? The instruction on the embassy website shows that I need to submit documents first.

Can you share your experience with them please? I am going through the same process.

I got NVC letter with case number 2 weeks ago and my fiance is still not hearing anything from the embassy.

Is he an active duty soldier? If he is, there is a dedicated phone number on USCIS website to help military members and families. If the military base is in a country where USCIS has foreign processing office, your boyfriend can apply i129F(if you want to get fiance visa) or I130 (if you are already married) to that foreign office. It is way quicker than sending application to USCIS offices in US. Since he is in military, you can request expedited processing for your I130/I485. Your boyfriend can go to JAG office (this is the legal assistant office for Army) to ask for help. They can at least direct him to correct contact/ procedure. Hope this helps.
