  1. If the old background check has expired, you will need a new one. If you go through the Commissionaires, they now do digital finger print-back ground checks. They send it to the RCMP and it will be mailed back to you in 2-3 weeks (maybe sooner). I think it only costs $35. Make sure you save yourself and look into this.

  2. As Kristen says, they are only interested in communicable diseases AIDS, Hepatitis, Typhoid and TB.

Relax! You're stressing too much! Unless you're an Olympic athlete I don't believe medically prescribed steroids will create any problems for you!!

Actually Hepatitis isn't even on the list of "communicable disease of public health significance". Here is a link to a site with more information the medical requirements... I hope this helps you.

  3. CSC may not have broken a record in your case, but congratulations!!!:dance::dance: Good luck on the rest of your trip home!

No they sure didn't break any records. It's just nice to have this part done with and onto the next step. I don't think I'm going to have a normal nights sleep until I am home.

Thank-you to everyone that has offered any information, help or just a good laugh every now and then- God knows we all need it. The encouragement here has truely been a blessing. I hope everyone here gets through this process quickly- Good luck to everyone still waiting. (You all are in my daily prayers) (F)

    Congratulations,

Did you ever receive an email stating that your RFE was received back or did you just receive the notice of the NOA2? CONGRATS~!

    Bill

Yes, We did get an e-mail stating IMBRA RFE was received. We got the e-mail on Oct. 2nd. With the touches we got after the RFE I was hoping it wasn't another RFE and was an approval on it's way... and here it is. We're so happy to get this approval.

  6. Well we got a TOUCH yesterday (on a holiday) & I just checked and we were TOUCHED again and it's not even 7am in California. This touch wasn't there an hour ago. Do they sleep? Hopefully these touches mean something good is coming. Maybe another good week at CSC? Let's all pray!

I got touched three times last week and I was so excited thinking 'tomorrow' would be the day. Turned out to be sweet FA. I'm STILL waiting!

OMGosh, Don't say that. :o I don't know how much more of this I can take. :(

Hopefully this will be our week...
