Check at your delivery location - any day now.

It's "in transit" - they use the CITIC Bank courier for delivery, unless you requested home delivery by EMS.

Ah, I see. I requested that they send the passport to our house in China by EMS. So effectively it is just sitting at the embassy waiting for them to ship it by EMS?

It sounds like your passport is being prepared for delivery.  Congratulations.

I used the usadocuments email passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com to ask about the status and it said:z
The current status of your passport is Delivered To Post.
Which apparently means that it is at the Guangzhou consulate waiting to be mailed to me. I wonder how long that will take. Anyone ever in this situation?

  3. Our case is at Guangzhou. She has passed the interview. However, the status was "Issued" but then I was contacted to send a document that was mistranslated (her mothers name from Chinese into PinYin). We got the correct document, and sent it via Citic bank 3 days ago. CGIFederal has changed from "Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate" to now showing "Document Delivery Information:" but no location, just blank. Does this mean it's in processing, on the way, or has arrived? Any ideas how long?

  4. Hey guys, thanks so much for the help in the previous thread.
I sent the cover letter, passport copies/photos etc through a CITIC bank, and they were received by the Guangzhou consulate.

I then got the good news that my wife's interview is ready to roll, and I booked it for September 27th. However, when I check back to the CEAC website,
it still says that the DS 260, despite being completed, is still unavailable to pay for. The supporting documents and affidavit of support apparently will be brought in person to the interview, but that is also not even showing up as being available to pay for.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Hey there, laoweiner! I know you!

You need to set up an account at  http://ustraveldocs.com. Your case did not go through NVC because you filed DCF (direct consular filing)

DCF cases usually take 2 to 4 months from filing to interview, to as little as ONE month - that's TOTAL time - you have some catching up to do.

See http://candleforlove.com/forums/topic/48592-a-guide-to-dcf-for-dummies/ and http://candleforlove.com/forums/topic/46807-guide-to-ir-1-dcf/ for detailed descriptions of the entire process.

Absolute lifesaver. Thank you so much!

  6. Hi guys, I really appreciate this forum, as it has tons of information that NCS doesn't care to give us.

I am applying for my wife in China, and we went to the consulate in Guangzhou, submitted the I-130, everything went smoothly, and in May I submitted the DS 260. Now, it has been 4 months, and it still says N/A for the fee section on the CEAC website.
I submitted the AOS and supporting documents electronically last month, and the website still only shows that the IV form was completed, and the fees are N/A.
The case was last updated in May when I check, and it says Administrative processing. The case is currently in Guangzhou.
No email or interview was received, and I have no idea how to contact anyone or figure this out.

    Any ideas? Thanks!
