anyone has been interviewed in Manhattan 7th floor? i had interview 3.5 month, no updates.any suggestions what should i do?

I had my interview last Thursday, March 28. Brooklyn Field Office (so the 8th floor of Federal Plaza). My PD is August 30, 2017. We were given the lovely piece of paper at the end stating the IO has 120 days to make a decision, although he said it probably won't take that long. I haven't had any updates online yet, and I'm trying to remain calm and remind myself that it's only been 1.5 business days. Really tapping into my last reserves of patience now.

I am on the same boat. Had my interview on 3/27 .8th floor as well.no decision. That officer didn’t even mention what’s gonna happen at all. Another miserable waiting starts

He looked over our original documents and took a couple of additional photographs of us with our families, our most recently filed tax return and W2s, and copies of our shared credit card statement. He then said I could expect to receive my greencard in 2-4 weeks and lo and behold, today my status has been updated to "New Card Is Being Produced". I can't believe it! We were so lucky to have such a kind IO - through the whole process I'd say the interview itself, for us, was the easiest part! Good luck to the rest of you NYC filers!

congratulations!!!!!! thanks for updating. give me some hope that the case is still moving, I feel like the government shut down to make even more slower

I filed at the end of April 2017, received my interview notice Sept 22 2018, and interviewed November 1 2018 (two years to the day that I received my K1 visa and entered the US!).

 

Interview officer told me that I have to re-do my medical (Done in Sept/Aug 2016-can't remember right now). He said that they recently changed the rules so that the medical expires after two years, however, I've obviously missed that extension date by a couple months.

 

Interview went.... not wonderfully, but not bad. He had a VERY strong accent and it was very difficult to understand his questions, which he fired off very very quickly. I was an English as a second language teacher for many years and even I had a lot of difficulty, so for my husband it was pretty overwhelming. Make sure you take the time to understand the question and ask to repeat if needed!

 

Still waiting for my RFE in the mail.

where did you have your interview? Federal plaza?

congrats, even it is a hell out of waiting, it ends all good, best luck on your interview, my PD is 8/14/2017,   still have a long way to go I guess. I will have my 3 years anniversary in 6 months, even qualifying to apply for citizenship by then. haha. it is so incredibly slow.

hope we all get it soon, new york seems like from 16-30 months. I went to local office, still didn't get anything but only tells me my case is still at benefit center

Just a quick update.... Today I called our lawyers as we wanted to know for how long we still have to wait for the interview . 

The lawyer said that he can't understand, but lately USCIS calling for interview people who filed in 2018 instead of processing the older cases.... like ours 2017 filers..... urgggghh How can that be possible??? It is just not right! We all have been here for so long waiting! 

Let's hope that they will take us 2017 filers in consideration as well very soon!!!!

Thank you for your update Shila, what is your case status online right now, My lawyer said if your case status changed into , no information to share at right now, means your case already in local filed office.
