When you are setting up your interview you choose where your passport with your visa would be sent here in Mexico which should be where you live so you can wait for it to arrive near your home since it may take a few days. This is also the DHL location near you that you will have to use to send the consulate any additional documents they request if you are not approved at your first interview and it’s also the DHL you will have to go to receive any document from the consulate sent to you. So you might not have to stay in CDJ any longer if they told you to send the document via DHL and its near your home. You should check your case also on https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv/users/sign_in I’m not an expert I’m just trying to help. Did they give you the blue paper form 221g ?

https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ that’s the website you can check your visa case status on, I check it a few times a week even to just see if there is a new date on the last  time the case was updated. After sending in 221g form later they sent me another blue paper like the one given at my interview just saying that my case was put under administrative processing and it said instructions to set up interview which I guess I will need for when the administrative process is over I’m almost sure I will be having a second interview in Juarez.

My case was recently put under administrative processing on feb 27th after sending in documents for a 221g that i had received at my interview, I’m just wondering how long did the administrative  processing last for other with a case in the Ciudad Juárez consulate? I know it varies but I’m just wondering

Update: today we received the letter it just said my husband’s case is in administrative processing and they would let us know when the process is done. Hope this doesn’t take too long 

Just an update: Today I did received an email with a tracking number for a document they sent my husband by DHL it doesn’t specify what it is though I’m hopeful that it’s some sort of good news but I just don’t know what it could be it has been almost 2 months and a half since we sent the 221g blue paper with the documents requested, I will update as soon as I know what it is. Hope sharing my experience helps anyone also going through this process.

Its depend on how in your country embassy works.in your country embassies communicate by mail. But in mine case embassies uses American Express Courier for mailing. But when i mailed them documents. I did not recieve any kind of letter that confirmed delivery of my docs. Then i emailed embassy about my docs which i semt them.they told me that they have recieve docs and currently in review. But after a year.............still waiting.... Can you feel the year of young guy the most working able years of my life wasted in just waiting

You are right about that every embassy or consulate works differently time wise and in other things maybe... I wish you the best of luck and hopefully you receive some good news soon.

 It’s hard waiting for so long but hopefully you hear back from them soon with good news. What doesn’t make much sense to me is why they sent me a letter in the mail saying that they would have a response in about 2-3 weeks and to check on the site. Did you also received a letter like this in the mail? I’m just wondering if this is something they normally send 

My husband had his immigrant visa interview back on October 3, 2017 he was given a blue paper 221g asking for court and prison records which he had none but had to have prove of because he was once arrested but never actually went to jail or had court so we got a lawyer to get the documents we needed to send to the consulate and we sent them about a year later 😬 and on January 8th 2019 they received the documents I called to confirm they had received them and on the first week of February I received a letter from consulate saying that they received the document and to check the ais.us-visa site for a response from them in 2-3 week that time has passed and we are still waiting I called and was told that the case was under administrative processing just wanted to hear from you all if anyone is going through the same thing or went through how long after the submission of the documents requested on 221g did you have a response from the consulate and what came next for you?

you can call NVC to check if they have scheduled your interview at the embassy if they have NVC will let you know the date and time...P4 is the interview letter... Good luck!

I called so I found out on Sept 1st and I asked for the interview letter to be sent by mail and was received on Sept 8th

I had been calling when I called on September 1st they told me my husbands interview had been scheduled for October 3rd so it was a bit less than a month we had to wait after CC on August 8th

My husband had CC on 8/8 and his interview is scheduled for 10/3 in Ciudad Juarez I had been calling NVC to know if there was any update that's how I found out first about his interview date... Hope you get a date soon 😊

Thanks for your answers everyone just wanted to be on the safe side that my husband would have enough time in between appointments so we didn't had to worry or reschedule them

Im scheduling my husbands appointments for the day before his interview on the 3rd of oct. one being ASC for finger prints for the background check and the medical exam in one of the options of the juarez clinics, they are on the same day just with 3 hours of difference I was wondering if maybe finger prints at the ASC take probably longer than the medical appointments so I can reschedule maybe... Any advice would be nice please  

My husband has his interview for oct 3rd I haven't received the letter yet in the mail but I confirmed the date on friday by calling the NVC and yesterday I tried to go ahead and try to schedule medical and biometrics appointments and I was able to do it with out a problem and his interview date came up by itself on the biometrics appointment page after typing in all the info requested yes on the nvc.state.gov webpage you can find the step by step information for setting up our appointments and other information that will be very useful to know  by clicking on preparing for interview and selecting your interview location and download 

Petitioning my husband got a CC on 8/8 called NVC today and his interview is scheduled for 10/3 😊
