  1. Can he find anyone to help such as a parent or any other family member? It can even be a friend who is nice enough to help you guys out.

I am not sure what happens if you can't get one but good luck!

    Sarah

sadly no ,his aunt at first promise to help ,bragged about her six figured income but when push came to shove ,she said she didn`t want to be responsible for me for a period of ten years .i guess i wasn`t family enough for her.

  2. That's real mature... attacking someone for doing one thing, and then doing the exact same thing to prove some sort of point???

While it's most unfortunate that my pinkie slipped yesterday so that my "?" came out as "/" it's more unfortunate that you couldn't/wouldn't see the intended irony in my reply. I realize also that you don't online-know me and therefore know that I am -not- doing the same thing.

Posts like these that spew a baseless attack bug me. So what?

and your unfair judgement on every other singapore person bug me too .Don`t judge an entire nation based on one thing /

  3. i was in baltimore for my info pass appointment and i was shocked just how americans treat people from outside the country ,like they were animals ,right down to the black guy at the front desk ,who asked to look at i.d`s ,the moment he knew i wasn`t carrying an american i.d ,he tried to assert his authority ,making me hold up my passport ,and open it for him ,even though he hardly glanced at it ,being that he was sitting so far away from the desk ,looking all comfortable and aloof.

He only lean alittle to see my husband`s i.d ,but for real you could have flashed a fake i.d and he wouldn`t know, cause he wasn`t really doing his job ,just acting the part.

The INS officer was the same too.

My husband wrote down the address and she was like yeah thats right thats good ,american address ,but on my I-130 i put down my country`s add and she got on my case.

i thought i was suppose to list my home address ,i didn`t know it was for my current residence .

Ok, I'll bite ;) What gave you the impression that the individual in the Baltimore office was American ? Did he flash his US passort or something?

well he certainly treated immigrants differently ,if he was one himself that was sad.

  4. What *are* you on about?

Don't lump my family and I in with "Americans" if you can only base your comments on one experience.

I knew one guy from Singapore before; he was really nice. I guess I will have to change my opinion of your countrymen now/

That's real mature... attacking someone for doing one thing, and then doing the exact same thing to prove some sort of point??? Racism at it's finest, I suppose. For the record, it's no secret that a lot of (and no, NOT ALL, meauxna) Americans show hostility towards people who are NOT American. It's around people all day... and if you are fortunate to have not seen it happen around you, then I'd suggest not moving from where you are. It's a harsh world out there.

Just the other night, a Filipina girl was sitting at the same table as me at a nice restaurant (we were all celebrating a friend's birthday) and she started insulting Europeans and anything "South of the Border" saying how awful and bad they were... and I sat there biting my tongue.. and I was furious.. my parents were both born in Europe and then immigrated to Canada.. and here she is insulting my family (she didn't know she was, but that is most certainly not the point). I guess what I'm trying to say is that the OP was upset and venting that frustration. My husband is an American and got treated like ####### at the Baltimore office too... and it's not one experience. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if you don't like it, then dismiss it and walk away.

i was making a point about baltimore in general ,not to harshly indicate racism, but open your eyes its out there!

And to condemn my entire country men aren`t you just as racist (meauxna ).

it was my own experience that i felt .i WOULD NEVER SAY based on one incident THAT I THink the whole nation is bad , you have to be fair ,perharps my phrasing was wrong but still that incident did happen ,but i have moved on from it ......thank you to all for your positive input to the topic.

  7. After reading many posts and one just today about people partying till the early hours would you honestly let your SO do this with girlfriends/guyfriends without you?? On a personal level no I would be one unhappy bunny if my SO did this to me. How do you feel about this. My SO and I are not into the partying scene anyway so would not make much of a difference. I feel like many do that when you go into a marriage that you should leave the partying scene behind. No I am not boring, we do find other things to entertain us :devil:

    Janice

Being married is part of a commitment ,the party scene is just an invitation to disaster when one spouse goes off and leaves the other behind .no matter how commited the other spouse is into the relationship ,temptation is always out there waiting to weave its web ....
