Thanks for all VJ members
Good luck to you all

Sorry for you who are still waiting, hope you all will get the approvals soon.
When did you send in the application and have the biometrics, charlesnj46? Did you file to VSC? We'll add you to the list!
yes, VSC. I sent my applicaton on 06/03/09. biometrics on 07/09/09. My biomerics was 07/09/09, they sent cancellation notice and rescheduled on 7/21/09. I still went on /7/09/09. I am not sure if there is any problem.

Bump....nothing yet for us. Not even a "touch." Ugh! In another two weeks, it will have been six months and will be time to start calling.
when did you file I-751. My receipt date 06/04/09, I haven't received approval yet. Most June filers have received GC.

I have given up toatally.
I will just get it when I get it
I am waiting for approval

You'll get a notice saying your case has been resumed. We sent ours on the 15th, and it was received on the 17th. We got an email today saying, "Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing
has resumed." You'll get it, just be patient.
Would you please look at your request REF letter, if your A# is correct. My A# is missing " 0"
It should be A 0 XXXXXXXX but on the letter is A XXXXXXXX. I am worry about it.
-
I received request REF from CSC but my A # is not correct. My A # is A 0 XXXXXXXX, but on the letter is A XXXXXXXX. I am not sure if they made mistake or just like that in their system.
-
It may not even be for the I-693A. If you already sent it in, then it is probably for something else. Sometimes they send you an RFE for items you have already submitted. If so, just resend the requested documents to them as soon as you possibly can so that they can resume working on your case.
Good luck.
My case is pending at CSC for almost 5 months, I think it was under FBI name check. Hopefully, name check is complete

The RFE could be for the Vaccination Supplement (I-693A) or additional financial information which accompanies the I-864.
You should receive the RFE shortly and then you'll know for sure.
Good luck for a speedy approval once you return the requested information to USCIS.
Someone told me I have to do full medical exam including TB test because there is new rule since March 2007.
If they request medical exam, I might to do full medical exam. I just wait the letter.

I already submit I-693A with I - 485 application in Feb. Do you think I-693A has been expired.
-
I think this good news. My case has been past 6 months since I -485 was filed. For long time I didn't heard anything about my case. Finally I receive a email requesting evidence. I don't know what evidence will be requested.
Does anyone has experience?

Hi all,
Last year, I was given an A# when I got my OPT card (actually called Employment Authorization Card).
This year I got married to my wife who is an US Citizen and I am applying for AOS and several forms ask for an A# .
Should I put the A# on my OPT card?
Thanks ...
I have same problem too. I was F1 student ten years ago. I had A# from OPT. I use new A# to apply AOS. I was wondering if it cause any problem.
-
Still waiting.................... no touches no nothin since 5/29/07............... just hoping that letter mysteriously arrives in the mail one of these days!
Same here. no touches since May 15,07. Same hoping too.

On June 26th, I sent an email to the CSC asking about the status of our 485. Coincidentally, we were approved the following day, so I didn't expect a response. Yesterday, 7/17, I received the following email:
From: CSC XII 485 [mailto:CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov]
Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2007 7:07 PM
To: xx, Jennifer
Subject: RE: Status Inquiry: Receipt number MSCxxxxxxxxxx
Dear Jennifer xx,
Approved – A final decision has been made on applicant’s I-485. Notification of Approval (card) was mailed on 06/28/2007. Thank you.

even though it isn't what I was expecting, at least they touched my case. They haven't done that since march 5th.
Why it takes so long? what did they ask for reference?

I was F 1 student ten years ago. After I graduat I can apply "OPT" (practical training for one year) . I just found out I had A# when I applied "OPT" at that time but I don't know about it until I apply EAD.
I got anyother A# when I applied K1 visa. I use this A# when I fiel I -485. Does it problem?
Use the new A# from your K-1 Visa. I was confused about this too because I had a alien registration number already from my old green card.
Do they give you a new A#, or you tell them your A# from your old green card.
-
Not a problem, in fact is seems to be normal to issue a new A# for a K-1 or AOS application if your previous one was from an OPT EAD. Use the new one.
Thanks. I was wondering if this is a problem because I field AOS almost 6 months but I haven't received GC

I sent an email inquiry about our case about 2 weeks ago. Just got this reply today... What do you make of this?
Mr. S needs to complete the biometrics requirements. An appointment notice will be mailed when the ASC in his area has appointments available. Once the biometrics data captured, his I-485 will be processed. Thank you.

Subject: Case # MSCXXXXXXX
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to inquire about the status of our I485 (case # MSCXXXXXXX). We received our NOA1 on Feb 8, 2007. It has been almost 5 months since we filed and 3 months since our case was transferred to CSC.
Here's our timeline so far:
NOA1 Feb. 8, 2007
Biometrics Mar 8, 2007
EAD approved April 17, 2007
AP approved April 19, 2007
Is there any time frame we can be looking at for approval of the I485? Can we look for approval soon?
Thank you for your time.
Mr. & Mrs. S
Could you tell me which email address did you sent to? I field my case in Feb 2007 but I haven't been approved yet.
