Nop it has been 63 days. Parenthese confirmed me that I have the longest AP they have ever seen. So proud of this new record :D. They even offered me a virtual medal by email !!!
But honestly, I would have preferred to have a refusal 2 months ago.

@Mouad04 : Any news on you side ?
-
So yesterday, it has been 8 weeks since my interview. So I used this contact form and select the reason 'My case is under administrative processing, it has been more than 8 weeks since my interview.' So I should get a response from them within 5 business day (so until next Monday).
Parenthese told me that if the Embassy has not found any reason to reject the visa after 60 days, they simply edit it. I'm really doubtful about it, but I'll see...
If it's still in AP next week, I'll cancel everything. I can't stay in this situation, it is so annoying to me doing nothing but waiting and check the status 60 times per day...

haha and where would your internship be ?
-
I also have Parenthese as sponsor. I was in contact with the staff and they said that AP rarely occurs with their applicants. They also specified that the max AP duration they saw was exactly 60 days. I hope I won't break a new record

That's bad
I hope your host company will understand if there is a delay. For me the situation is becoming very difficult ! I am like 1 month late from the official start date. What organization did you use to fill your application (CIEE ?) ?
You said you are an engineer student, in what field do you study ?

How about you ? has it been issued for you ?

Day 49, still nothing ...
I contacted the Paris embassy and they replied with an email address containing '221gdocs'. Does that mean that my case is under 221g processing ? I rode in some forums that the consular officier gives you a colored slip during the interview. He did not give me anything. Still confused...

Nothing yet... I'll keep you informed too

@Mouad04
is it still under AP ?
-
I am French and I got my interview was on July 11th, still in AP...
The consular officier told me that I would last between 2 and 3 weeks. But it has been 5 weeks now.
Sooo frustrating that the field 'Last Case Updated' is still set to the interview date. Does that mean nobody have taken a look to my case ?
They really should improved this horrible step by giving us more detail ! Or at least a contact mail where we could ask questions.

Hi Mouad04,
I also applied for a J1 Visa in Paris. I had my interview on July 11th. My application is still under Administrative Processing since the interview. My case has not been updated. It's been 36 days and my training was supposed to start at the beginning of August ... I suppose summer is a rush period and they are understaffed because of holidays. The only thing we can do is waiting...

Just to let you know that I cancelled my J1 training after 70 days of AP. The host company couldn't wait more... What a bad experience, so much effort for nothing...
