I don't really know what your reference to the military means, but this is a standard receipt notice telling you that they received your application and they want you to make sure that your information is correct. That's it. This has nothing to do with biometrics or anything else. At some point in the next few weeks you will be scheduled for a biometrics appointment and they will send you a letter informing you where to go and at what time.

thanks you I was about to send a adress verification but they are not asking one, they just wanted to confirm if the informations on the letter are ok.

    Best regards,

  2. Guys,

    I had a letter today as state below;

Date of birth: January x, xxxx
    Adress Where You Live: xxxxxx

Please verify your personal information listed above and immediately notify our office at the adress or phone number listed below if there are any changes.

1-So how should I verify my date of birth (I already sent the green card copy)

2-How to verify adress? Just regular internet invoice enough with my name and adress?

and the final question 3- should I send as mail or I can call or upload from the website?

    Thanks for in advance

the simple answer is YES. if i were you.

because you actually did file the tax every year under the name of family tax filing.  You were included in the tax filing by your dad. Lots of families choose to file tax together for a whole family, especially you are not minor but still counted as dependent in the tax aspect

you bring your family's tax return transcripts  to the interview. the transcripts is free and can be requested on IRS website. As your father to do that for you. IRS mails to your house. the transcript should have your name on it if you do have income and paid tax.

I think you meant to say NO...since he DID file every year, as a dependent. :)

The question is have you ever not filed...

OP---your answer should be "no" on the form since you did submit taxes every year, and your father would have included your income ($0 or otherwise) just as a dependent.

    Thank you so much guys!

    Best regards,

  4. Guys,

I have been dependent last 5 years that's why my father did tax return for all our family.
How should I answer the question 7 on Part 12?
Have you ever not filed a Federal, state, or local tax return since you became a lawful permament resident?
    Yes or No?

Please let me know as soon as you can because I will send the forms in an hour.

    Best regards,

if your age (> 18 years) gives you the eligibility to file N400 yourself, then you should list the living places under your name, instead of your parent's address, since you are not minor anymore.

Thank you marcusa for prompt reply.

Yes I am 23 right now.  I only worry about that my father filled the tax return form and applied for the insurance with the adress they live in.
But the address I live in wouldn't match that records, do you think that will cause a problem?

  6. Hi Everyone,

I filled out the n-400 form and I will send the application in couple of days but I have a question regarding the recent address last 5 years.

I got my green card through my father h1 visa. It's been already 5 years. But I lived in a different address last 3 years seperated from my family.
And as a dependent my father filed tax return on my behalf and we also have obamacare insurance etc.

The question is that; should I put the address that I lived on N-400 form or I should put the address where my family lives?

Please let me know if you need more details,

    Best regards,
