Can anyone enlighten me on how long it usually takes to process the visa (or even review the case : that's what I've been told when inquired via email) after I-601 had approved?
My first interview was in NOV 16 and filed I-601 waiver in MAR 17 and it was approved in OCT 18 just recently. The embassy told me in email that my case need no 2nd interview even the waiver approval was taken more than 1 year after 1st interview (Maybe my case is F1 : US citizen mom applied for his overages son).
When the case starts taking longer than I expected, i started to panic and think that things weren't going right and that the visa will not be issued due to any reasons.

"On October 11, 2018, we approved your Form I-601, Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility, Receipt Number LINxxxxxxxxxx."
After my waiver is approved, I contacted the embassy and they told me to send the original approval docs through postal mail. They received docs since Oct 29 and I never heard of anything ever since. Is this something normal that they just need time to review my waiver? what else can it be?

Last time I was replying here in Jun, I received an email from the US embassy in Bangkok requested for an update medical record after my interview was denied in Nov 2016. My I601 receipt date was March 10, 2017 which is now way beyond due date.
At that time when they requested for my update medical record, I thought that the waiver could have gone through. However, I was wrong. As I have provided what the embassy needed along Final judgment from court on my DUI case which happened in Bangkok back in 2004 That said case was already dismissed. I've just recently received another email from the embassy to pick up my original passport and inquire about my waiver with USCIS. I have also been informed that the 2nd interview is not necessary since they already did that in Nov 2016
Before that on August 10 this year which is the date marked on USCIS web processing time that i can inquire about case with receipt date March 10, 2017 i had inquired online on why the case was taking longer than the processing time and the answer i got 11 days later was “U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show that your case is currently pending adjudication. However, we have had to perform additional reviews on your case, and this has caused a longer processing time.” without providing anymore information nor timeline.
Main point that i really not understand was why they required second medical record when it only lasts 6 months from the issue date and get to the point that there's no sign of I601 waiver approval.
Now i guess it is same as the case that Jonando shared above. I really have no idea how much time i have to wait or how can i get more information on the case or how to expedite the case. It had already been 9.5 years since my case filed.
I finally had my I601 waiver approved last Thursday. What's the next step? Should i contact the embassy directly or waiting for them to contact me.

I think you need to provide more information on your case. The reason they refused your application and why you're not qualifying for the waiver. I believe there's some point that you cannot apply for the waiver but that has to be a very worst case of the action you did. Try to search for more information on the section that they gave you on your visa or case ex. 212 (6)(i) etc.

After my interview had been denied and went through a waiver for I-601 with received date on 10Mar17. If the Embassy contact me today and request for an update Medical record and some other documents, is this mean my waiver got approved and being sent to the embassy already?

I simply write an email to US embassy saying that I'm doing my waiver with the receipt date information. They returned my email with 1 year case extension from the date they replied.

Hello
Did the estimate processing time has changed to 14 month or it's just my bad memory???
According to the website,
Estimated time range Form type Case inquiry date
14 Months to 18.5 Months Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility December 09, 2016 -
I'm receiving email from my attorney today to inform that my case is 4 months delay. My receipt date was March 17. and as i checked today, it seems that they (Nebraska service center) only process the case up to Nov16. Means that they will need 16 months to process the case at the present moment. Keep all your fingers cross, we'll get through this. GOD blesses you all

Hello I'm a newbie here.
Found out this forum while trying to check how long the waiver I-601 is processes before the final decision.
I had my first interview with the embassy in November 2016 and got refused due to section 212(a)(6)(C)(i). After that I have my attorney file form i-601 with received date Mar 2017 and found out today that they only process the document received up to July 2016. another waiting after visa bulletin.
However, i do have one concern which after my interview with the embassy. I was under the impression that my case should become active again with the embassy within 12 months. It seems that the waiver process is now taking longer than that. Will my Immigrant visa case dismiss?
Thanks for all the answer.
Cheers up to everyone including myself. I had been waiting since 2009
