Hey there, it's me NowMrs with a new name. I just wanted to give everyone an update and this will be my last post on this forum. I filed for divorce on May 18 but my husband didn't want to do his part and accept it so we could move on. As far as I know he went back to Jamaica, I have not spoken to him since then, the sad thing is he was with me when I filed. So now I need to find out what to do to serve him? On a better note, I have met a wonderful man who I truly believe loves me and I am happy once again! He lives in another state so at least it's a little closer We are in the process of deciding who is moving where, we should have it all worked out by January. I am nearing the completion of my MA degree in European History, I hope the economy will improve so I can get a job at a community college teaching. That's all for now. I wish everyone nothing but happiness!

Wow. This post has been busy! lol Sorry I haven't been around, I moved in with a friend and I have been very busy with work, school, friends, and a social life. I just wanted to say that I have my reasons for calling my marriage a fraud which many of my friends and family will attest to. I have lived it and I don't care what anyone else thinks. I will not expound further as I feel no need to justify my thoughts, not too be rude but it is a public board. Also, I appreciate everyone's insight and well wishes. And JaEnglishGirl, you are not public enemy one! You made some good points and I appreciate your insight and the way you think! It's also nice to know that I am unattractive! lol Sorry, had to throw that one in.

Anyhow, I am moving on in the right direction and I wish him no ill-will, I hope he finds happiness with his new woman and I harbor nothing but the best of memories.

Hopefully this thread can be locked as it did tend to stray out of proportion a bit!

First of all thanks everyone for your kind words and support! I really, really appreciate it! I've made my arrangements to move in with a friend of mine next week and I was granted a 30 day extension for my classes (working on a MA in European History.) I already closed our joint account last month. He has a car and I have a car, his in his name and mine in my name. He is not on the apartment lease but is only an occupant but my understanding is he will stay in our current apartment. We really don't have joint much of anything. I have no wish to be mean or spiteful, I want a clean break so I can start living my life and start living for me. I guess I didn't know him as well as I thought I did and perhaps I shouldn't have ignored the countless red flags prior to and during my marriage. I too believe in Karma and I also believe that everything happens for a reason!

Only you can decide what you should do with your life. I wouldnt spend/waste any second with such a person.

I would get a divorce and move on ... you are free to look for happiness.... life is too short.

He has his 2 year conditional GC. We were married 10/13/2008.

I read your posts and I must say we have A LOT in common. Sorry to hear of your situation as it is VERY similar to mine.

I will just keep this short and sweet!

I was used for a green card. I am thouroughly convinced of this. We have argued numerous times and it all boils down to this:

1) I am not a normal woman because I want a husband who loves me, appreciates me, makes love to me, spends time with me etc...

2) I asked if I should find someone else to be those things for me and the answer was to do whatever I want...

3) Today when I mentioned I am no longer comfortable living here I was told to get the f*** out, he doesn't care about me...

So, I am done. When he couldn't work, I supported him. He got a job and car and credit cards, I became nothing.

Remindes me of Pam and her duped posts.

What the hell do I do now and how?

Everyone please pray. I have called the visa center just to check on the status and they have stated our case is under administrative processing meaning they need additional time for review. How so? They didn't tell us that at the window. They approved us and gave us our pink ticket to airpak. I am so confused at this point. I don't know what to do, what that means or anything. I emailed the Kingston embassy and I hope they write me back. What does that mean? He does stutter a bit, and did that more than I have ever seen him before but he was nervous and the lady was not that nice. I want to cry:(!!!!!!!!!

Hang in there hun! Don't freak out until you know for sure that there is a reason to freak out. More than likely he is stuck in name/background check which shouldn't last too long. You certainly have mine and my husband's prayers!

I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that I am still alive and all is going great! Married life is awesome and I just started my Master's degree program for European History. Other than that I have been working both jobs non-stop!

Marlon and I are going to have a nice ham dinner at home on Christmas Eve.

Did my biometrics in Atlanta today. Got there 10 min before my scheduled appointment and there was a long line outside the building. Neither cellphones nor purses were allowed inside. Fortunately I had read here and knew to bring a copy of my Marriage Certificate. One girl in line had to go back home to get hers because the name on the letter and her ID didn't match.

After about 20 minutes I was let in but my husband had to wait outside in the rain (despite tons of free chairs inside). Once inside I had to stand in line again for about 15 min to get the form to fill out. After doing so I got my number and could sit down and wait for another 20 minutes or so before getting my photo and fingerprints taken which took about 5 minutes.

In all it was pretty painless and the people were very nice but it was way too much waiting, especially knowing my husband was outside in the rain though he apparently had a great time. He was outside trying to help people keep dry offering them room underneath his umbrella.

I had to wait outside for 2 1/2 hours! I was soooooo mad!
