Just an update on my N-400 application. Today I received a notice by mail from USCIS to inform me that my naturalization interview was scheduled on August 1st. at the USCIS office downtown.
 
I am a late September paper filer and was put in line for an interview on 11/28/2017. So a total of about 7 months between I got placed in line for an interview and the elusive email from them confirming that I am finally scheduled for the interview.
 
I will keep you guys updated and good luck to all my fellow applicants.

     Good news...  I got my interview on july 18. I have a simple question.
 
1. What is the closest parking?
2. From what I understand, I have to do some security check, etc. If so, I plan to go an hour earlier. Is that too early?
3. Do we have to take tax recipiets with us?
4. I did two international trips after N-400 submission- what proof should I show?
 
5. Finally, if I pass the interview, when will I get my oath ( I live in Chicago suburbs). 
 
Can someone answee some or all of all of these questions please? I am bit nervous!

We just got an email that the oath was scheduled Whoo hoooo!

Just had my interview and I passed! 
The IO told me I will get my letter in the next week or two for my oath ceremony which will be held in Urbana. 
Very straightfoward interview, civics questions first, got the gist 6 correct so no need to go further and then the reading is a sentence followed by the writing of the answer (which she gave me, you don’t need to know the answer)
Then went through questions and done! Actually was out of the building before my actual interview time.

     Do you know how long it takes to get the interview letter in the mail after we get the online status update saying interview has been scheduled? One week?

2 weeks! it is scheduled on the 28th of this month!!!

how's the oath ? i want to apply for an expedite passport at the same uscis ? did u apply ur husband passport same day with uscis or with post office ? 

 

n-14 they request more documents and sometimes take long time , thats why im checking here if someone in chicago got the n14 before and how long it take ?

My husbands application was only for the N-400.

I think the estimate is 4-6 business days to get the actual letter.

Today I finally got a notification saying that my interview was scheduled. When can I expect the letter in the mail? How many days more or less?

I got the date yesterday and it'll be on June 28th at 10:45 am. 

nothing yet still waiting im scared if it will be denied !!

sorry couldn’t talk about my oath earlier my wife and I were driving to Florida
my oath went extremely well. We had about 140 people from all different counties. The whole ceremony took about 2 hours (9am check in and 10am ceremony started) we were all done at 11am. We started by a welcoming speech by the organizer, then we watched a quick video, another video from president trump welcoming us as citizens, we watched a short video about people becoming citizens and finally we all received our certificates! It was a very beautiful and touching ceremony. 
I am so glad that it’s all over now. I will never have to deal with USCIS again! It’s still hard to believe that it’s done. After the ceremony i registered to vote right outside the doors!

Hi Steelers , congrats for your husband, was busy and did not longing last month .

how long the passport take ?

I filed online in January of this year (1/15/18) and I just got a text saying my interview is scheduled! I think it's moving for some of us! No interview date yet but I'm sure it'll be show up tomorrow or next day.

For those who can't remember my details: mid-July 2017 paper filer, interviewed on April 10. I am based in Central Illinois so oaths are few and far between.

hey, everyone, i have couple of quick questions about my upcoming oath
1. what should I bring to my oath besides the letter and green card? should I bring passports/approval letter i got at my interview? anything else?
2. the back of my oath letter has a questionnaire I have to fill out. the wording on it is a bit confusing to me. do I have to fill it out at the USCIS office before my oath or can i do it at home before i get there? i want to make sure it's done 100% correctly.
