Just had the interview yesterday (12:30PM) and got the similar experience pattern to s.sayuri.s. One funny thing is I almost fell in wrong line at the wrong entrance. I made it on time though with flying colors

I received an email regarding my I751 that there's been a new action on my case. When I check my status hasn't changed, but the email says the new status is " Post decision activity" . Does anyone know what the heck does that mean? I'm very anxious on what this one is all about 😕

I wanted to update you all that I just got the interview rescheduled notification today. Not sure when the exact date will be as nothing has been updated to the document tab yet. But I assume it will be a month from today per the usual pattern. I wrote to the state senator and my local district congressman to intercept regarding my November interview cancellation so maybe that's why it got rescheduled quicker than I thought. I'll make sure to keep you all posted for updates!

did they give you a reason for cancellation? did they say it's cancelled for you or for everybody?

Okay...so I was originally scheduled for the oath ceremony on 12/5 but I received a notification this morning that my case status has been changed back to "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled". I called up USCIS to check and see what's going on and I was told that my interview has actually been de-scheduled due to overload of work. USCIS also said that if I wanted to run the risk of actually going to the oath on 12/5 I can go ahead and do so, but there is a chance they will turn me back because my naturalization certificate will not be ready on time.

I had my I751 - N400 combo interview on Thursday, everything went well. The officer at the end handed me a paper that says I've passed my test but still a decision needs to be made on my case. She said you'll be getting an invitation letter for the oath ceremony. So I'm here waiting to get a letter. This morning I woke up to a text message that my I751 has been approved! But the wait continues ...
did those of you with combo interview receive a approval letter for I751? or just the oath ceremony invitation?

Yes, they took the pictures too. We had like 60 photos I think. We printed 6-7 per page more or less. We tried to have a few per year to show we were together, one or two of every trip we did, some of the wedding and that was pretty much it. I don't think they will need more than that.
Wow, I actually printed my photos at the nearby pharmacy so they're actual printed photos. I'm ok if they take it but it's just very surprising to me. Maybe I should do what you did and print them on a paper? Thanks for all the info, they are very valuable for me. I'm sure other people will benefit from it as well!

They even kept your pictures?? I have about 50 photos is that enough? I mean I can take 500 photos from the last 6 years with me, but does it really matter?? did she even pay attention to those?

Oh wow. BTW did she keep any of your documents? do I need to have copies of my documents or the original is enough? I mean documents like mortgage statement or utility bills? also, did they ask for the affidavit from family? did they keep it? I have 4 weeks to my interview but I'm trying to gather all the documents now.

Before any of the interviews one agent gave me the envelope with the passport information and all of that. The envelope had wrong spelling on the Spanish translated version, but that's OK, it just catched my eye being my mother tongue 🙂
The I751 interview was exactly like I was expecting. She asked my wife and me questions about our relationship (where did we meet, when did we meet, each other birthdays, wedding day, how we met in-laws, trips we have done together and separate, etc.). As for the documents, she took everything we had with us, but she particularly asked if we had the marriage certificate, and taxes documents. Well, and passports and green card of course. After 30 minutes or so answering her questions she handed the form to us and asked us to review the changes.
When that was done, she asked my wife to leave the room and we started the N400 interview. Some of the questions were exactly the same. We reviewed and completed the answers I gave when I originally sent it (in my case was just trips outside the US). She handed me the document to review, I gave it back when I was done and we started the test. I had to read this:
- What is Columbus Day?
I had to write this:
- Mexico is south of United States
And then she asked me the following questions:
1- What does the President's Cabinet do?
2- What is the supreme law of the land?
3- What did the Declaration of Independence do?
4- How many judges in Supreme Court?
5- For how many years do we elect a Senator for?
6- Name one branch of the US GovernmentShe handed me a paper saying I have passed the test, and told me that I will receive a notice about their decision on my I751 in the timeframe I mentioned above. If I understood properly, I will receive another separate notice after that regarding my Oath Ceremony.
Thanks for sharing your experience.. I'm sure you'll hear from them very soon! I can't believe what we need to go through just because our I751 application took a very long time to be processed...

my N400 was filed on Aug 2017. you need to wait a little more. My I751 was Aug 2016!!

USCIS answered saying they will probably send my new interview notice around the end of this month, and the interview will be at the end of October more than likely. Again, nothing official.
I'm expecting yours to be really close in time too. Not sure if before or after mine, because your naturalization application was before, but the green card one was after... Not sure how they will process it.
