I honestly don't understand all of this fear about going alone. Its all about how you handle yourself. At the end of the day if you do your due diligence by having the appropriate paperwork and its a real marriage/relationship theres nothing to fear. Most latin people scare their friends/relatives due to a bad example they heard or were told by someone else that they don't know the important details. Usually these people make it seem all perfect but neglect to tell the true side of the story as to how a paperwork was filed incorrectly or any other little detail that is significant.
My wife was told by her family of all of these little issues of going alone and scared the ####### out of her. These people said things that made no sense. They have fear because they don't understand the process at all. She went to the interview today after being so scared and guess what? By listening to me instead and not being nervous she got a interviewer that was very serious overall but when she reached the window she had the most different interaction with the person. Obviously all of this success has to do with reading a lot and following procedures along with the great environment that VJ has been able to offer to us. Im very thankful for all of your experiences and posts you guys give. At the end of the day most people don't do their homework and read enough to know that they don't need to ask questions. Ive never hired a lawyer and did my GC, EAD, Removed conditions, Citizenship, and now my CR1 for my wife. All simply because of the great people here in VJ.
What are the requirements of Canadian Banks so you can be added on her account? That would be a start. How often do you visit her? Compile receipts or photos when you visit her. Maybe in your case telephone records too.
