  1. Hello all, been a few years since I've been on this site and path. What is the average time from submitting forms to approved citizenship? Also, my wife came in on K1 and we immediately got married. The 3 year rule is still in effect? In other words can she apply for citizenship now? Thanks!

    Also, is this guide current?

  2. Lifting of conditions approved! I'm really surprised that we got such a fast approval. I just tossed the packet together in a couple of days and wished for the best. lol

On January 7, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

  4. One other comment. I read a few discussions about the vaccinations. We decided to wait for any vaccinations until after the medical exam in Bogota ... Erika ended up needing the varicella and MMR (2 shots) and her daughter needed varicella (1 shot) ... had them done 1 block away from the doctor's office where the doctor sent us and all three shots cost 233,000 COP.

Ouch! 233K pesos is a lot, crooks! Congrats on the approval though!

  5. No papá... that's construction tape. LOL

I think a Club Colombia get-together would have been a great thing to plan for this Holiday season, but obviously picking a location is hard except those of you to be interviewing in Bogotá.

I'm just inviting Colombia Club members to our house, that makes the location a no-brainer.

Solar-heated swimming pool, Yamaha sound, Yeah!

Send me the save the date. LOL. I'll tace SoCal over the flurries I saw today.

C'mon down! Plus, my neighbors don't mind noise (before 11 p.m.).

QUICK QUESTION: Is it required to have a Social Security Card or number in order to get married? Leidys arrived almost 2 weeks ago, and we plan on getting married on December 28th. I have not seen this requirement anywhere, but I know in order to get AOS, it will be necessary. If anyone knows, I appreciate your input.

She does not need to have her social security # to get married.

  6. We just received our NOA1 with the date of November 16. I suck at updating the list. If someone can do it for us, greatly appreciate it.

How long did it take to get your NOA? I ask because I really need mine to come in LESS than 3 weeks from when I send app in (I have travel plans!).

Well, we sent our packet in on the 12th and today is the 21st. Under 2 weeks to receive the NOA1. Hope this helps.

  7. Thanks to kens great posts we are staying at the apartment now. Everything is as he said. We had the laboratory and doctor appointments yesterday all went well. Riding the city bus standing up is like an e ticket ride. We went to the central commercial mall down town after the doctor and hung out long wait for taxi back from there last night. Well today we are going to check out the sheriff restaurant for lunch soon and visit my fiancees aunt later then interview tomorrow. Good luck to everyone else and any questions on things here will be happy to answer.

Make sure to check out Zurich across the street. They have excellent cappuccinos.....with a shot of Baileys to boot.
